“That— looks really amazing on you.” Marinette does look good, but Lila's tone of voice encourages doubt. //h ewwo

A new outfit, something a bit different than her norm, designed to form against her frame for the design class she had in the afternoon. Rather than the typical daily coordination, a pink dress fluttered around her knees, the occasional movement revealing the black lace that acted as shorts beneath the fabric. A small black belt wrapped around her middle, and along the bustier a pale pink tulle added a gentle addition with small black dots.
Blue eyes rolled towards Lila with skepticism—her plan to avoid the other girl foiled too early on. Risk of damage to the designs came with brushes with the brunette and a small fear prickled up the back of her neck at what she might do to the hard work.
Taking a deep breath, Marinette let a smile lift to the edges of her lips as she nodded gratefully, a hand moving to adjust her backpack. “Thanks, Lila.” A small glance at the typical outfit the other girl wore, her lips pursing briefly before settling on a choice. “You look good today too. It feels like you did something new.” Maybe her hair was a bit different? It was mere light conversation to keep away the negativity that normally generated around Lila.
“Anyway, I should get going.” A beat, barely waiting for the girl to offer what might actually be different about her. “Class will be starting soon and I’m sure you wouldn’t want to be late.” A genuine tone to her voice, there was no additional animosity.
Just the desire to keep everything peaceful until after she was graded.
