Favorite Kr-BL Web/Manhwa —1.3

I try to organize my favorite list of Korean BL web comic/manhwa, It's quite long so I divided it into 4 parts (I pick 40 titles). Here is the third part of the list, from 11 to 20~

강아지는 건드리지 마라! / Don't Mess with the Puppy!

novel by Marine Code (마린코드), art by Duuhaem (두햄)

Puppy~~!! A small fluffy white puppy with strong spirit and a gentle loving werewolf, Don't Mess with the Puppy! is very lovable. Yoon Chiyoung (werewolf) and Kwon Heeseong (puppy) have really hard lives but then they found each other, loving each other. I really enjoy reading their interactions, their relationship is so lovely. The art here is so adorable~~ I wish they don't skip details though I'm going to read the novel ><

하프 오브 미 / Half of Me

I really like the dynamic between Minjae and Heechan a lot~! When more things about Taekin are revealed, it brings all kind of emotions, not only Minjae-Heechan's relationship that is really lovely, Taekin's story also great. Their talk about 'half of me' is interesting. I wish they adapt everything into manhwa/webtoon (it's on hiatus) ; ; I need to read the novel, from spoilers I see that Half of Me is a really nice read, specially Minjae and Heechan adorable relationship.

가이딩 해저드 / Guiding Hazard

Guiding Hazard is likely to be my top favorite of guideverse genre. I adore Seo Eunsung and Lee Taegun relationship so much. Their interaction and relationship development, their past in high school that encourages Eunsung greatly, everything about them is so lovable. I also really like those chibi talking/thinking parts inside their mind, very cute. Taegun's past is really upsetting, but he has Eunsung with him now ; ; Their guiding sessions are ♥♥ (the breaking things are amusing too ; w;)

무흔의 밤 / Night of the Unmarked

I adore Kim Muheun and Seo Seungjoo's dynamic and relationship so much. They are solid. Even though sometimes Seungjoo keep a little bit stuffs because he knows Muheun will be overly worried, he tells almost everything to Muheun which I like. It might seem that Muheun is frustrating at first (not for me) but what he did are understandable. He foreseen his future with Seungjoo but instead of letting that happen, he try his best to keep Seungjoo safe and happy from a distance, because Seungjoo is extremely precious for him. After Seungjoo first kissed him, he realized his feeling (love), but he still try to keep the safe distance with Seungjoo because he believes it's the best for Seungjoo. Though Seungjoo hates that. Sometimes their safe distance failed to be kept because this and that. It's really hard for both Seungjoo and Muheun. I was so heartbroken when Seungjoo tried to give up loving Muheun, then so happy because Seungjoo try to get hold of Muheun and work things out. I really like Muheun's tattoo that looks like ink painting, beautiful and cool, though the story behind it is painful. Night of Muheun is a very endearing read~

Spirit of Muryeong, Muheun's younger brother and Seungjoo's childhood friend, Kim Muryeong's story is adorable. Muryeong is like a soft warm sunshine.

빠나나 스캔들 / Banana Scandal

DolSHA (돌샤)

The story setting of Koreans studying overseas is interesting and feels realistic (I don't have much knowledge). Their struggles within the community, four main characters personalities and stories are well-written. Taehwan and Taehee are lovely brothers, their childhood scenes are so adorable. The first couple Taehee and Dojin is nice but the second couple's story in Banana Scandal, Woo Taehwan and Shim Yeonwu, is really heartfelt. I feel that Taehwan's redemption is one of the best redemption arc in BL manhwa/webtoon. Taehwan was really bad to Yeonwu, even though Yeonwu did wrong to Taehwan in the past, what Taehwan did was damaging. Yeonwu did something that triggered Taehwan's trauma (which Yeonwu know about much later), they were really good friends in high school but separated badly. When they met again in university, it was really bad for Yeonwu —Yeonwu, who neglected himself and has a very low self-esteem, brainwashed himself that he deserved what Taehwan did to him and he likes that he still have sort of relationship with Taehwan. When Yeonwu got extremely tired with everything and stayed away from Taehwan, Taehwan was shocked and tried to pull him back but it's not working. Taehwan who was in denial then realized his feeling, tried to do things better with Yeonwu. They almost got together again (because they're so passionate to each other) but it was really hard for Yeonwu who hadn't healed yet, it was really heartbreaking when Yeonwu realized how he neglected himself a lot, how pitiful he was. It was really heart-wrenching process of growing up. They continued their lives separatedly. Yeonwu have proper time to heal and loving his own self better. Taehwan tries to be worthy of Yeonwu, enduring his longing while regret things deeply. When they met again and talked about everything, poured all their feelings— damn, I've been very emotional when reading about their story but at that point it's emotions overflowed ;;__;; I think I cried several times reading their story. I feel like I can breathe again when they genuinely happy together, Taehwan and Yeonwu loving relationship is ♥♥

레가스 / Regas

Regas is really good~!! Prince's childhood was heart-crushing, the abuse and the loss of Abel, the one who genuinely cares for him. Prince and Abel moments are so wholesome. Many might not like that Abel reincarnated to blonde-green eyed beauty because twinkification(?), but it's an important part for the plot. The artist does a really good work in Abel's reincarnation, even though the physical appearance is very different, we can see and feel the real Abel, it's Abel. The beginning part after reincarnation is very funny, I really enjoy the interaction between main and supporting characters. Karas (prince -> king -> captain commander) and Abel relationship is so ♥♥

터닝 / Turning

I saw that Turning has many good reviews that I got interested in reading. The novel is really long but seems it's really a great work. Hope the manhwa/webtoon adaptation will be great too >< The dynamic between Kishiar and Yuder is exciting and their relationship seems very lovely (from spoilers). Since it's regression, it's likely that their first life was very heartbreaking. I'm excited with the story and their world-building. Also, Yuder's expressionless is amusing.

Mission: Save the Hunter is very heartbreaking yet very encouraging. The Great Dungeon is really painful, Seo Chaeyoon ;__; I really adore Yoon Seo and Kwon Jihan dynamic, they are really lovely together. Yoon Seo is very adorable when he's liking and getting closer with Jihan. Jihan is the best mate (in work, life, everything) for Yoon Seo. Some of the last will are very nice, I particularly like that looking for certain-shaped clouds one —this feels like it's able to keep Chaeyoon alive and gradually healed at the same time. The art also getting more beautiful, I want more of Chaeyoon/Yoon Seo and Jihan ♥

Our Sunny Days is very wholesome aaahh- this is really lovely~!! Kwon Haebeom and Sung Ho have a very loving healthy relationship and the baby aaaaa sooo cuuutteee ; ; ♥ They resolve things around them so well. I can feel the heartwarming sunshine when I read this beautiful work.

보스 빗치 베이비 / Boss Bxtch Baby

Dacto (닥토)

Boss Bxtch Baby is a very enjoyable read~! I really like the dynamic between Koo Hojin and Baek Yooseong, specially their chibi are very adorable I like them a lot~!! I really enjoy reading their chibi scenes and extras (from Dacto's twi- X's account). Feels like this gets higher position on this list because of their chibis ;w; Yooseong can be so violent it's scary though I can't hate him. That part in side story "all the trauma from different universes" is amusing ; w;) Both Hojin and Yooseong are broken and flawed, it was toxic but they heal each other and have a loving relationship. I also like that song which Hojin's favorite, I listened to it sometimes around the time I was reading this (Hojin made me wanted to listen). Their side stories AU are interesting, their fox babies are so cute~!

アフターグロウ / Afterglow

Wagase Wagimoko (吾瀬 わぎもこ)

The art is very good~!! It's a sensual and lovely short read, I want to read more of Tenjun and Higuchi daily life together.

お憑かれさま、黒瀬くん / Otsukaresama, Kurose-kun

Tako Macho (たこまっちょ)

Their chibi are very cute and expressive, I like them~ I also like how they use eyes in the story. It seems that Kurose Yuuma's past lives lingering emotions turn into spirits, which possessed Yuuma to make their wishes related with Kiriyama Kaito come true. One of them seems very powerful and it's Yuuma's ancestor(?) who couldn't be together with Kaito's ancestor(?). I'm excited to read more of this, it's interesting~

コントラディクト / Contradict

Oshima Kamome (大島かもめ)

Yajima and Torikai's rivalry is exciting to read, I like their dynamic. I get why Torikai's trauma made it hard for him but it stings for Yajima (and me, I believe different person is different). It's great that they resolved it well and getting lovelier. Also the part: "Aren't you supposed to be straight?" "not anymore" is really nice.

Mamita (マミタ)

This is lovely and pretty exciting to read. Toujou Suzume is endearing and him liking Suzuko (penguin character) is very cute. Toujou and Keishi are so good together. Though there's a trouble (Keishi was too much in panic he messed up), they resolve it well. I want to see more of them~ Reading '10 things I want to do before I turn 40' kind of making me want to make that list too when I'm closer to that age...

お前のほうからキスしてくれよ / Omae no Hou kara Kiss Shitekureyo

Yamayade (やまやで)

I'm not into mutual unrequited love story but I was curious with this one, I teared up. Eito, realized he is in love with Kou but Kou had told him that he's not his type, how Kou (who actually in love with Eito first) pushed Eito away because their relationship grows more vulnerable. I usually not fond with a character who sleeps with others when they have someone they love, but (that scene was not shown) Kou was like giving up his love and his trauma with his ex made him too scared. I can get why he did that, but it still heart-wrenching when Eito knew it. I teared up when Eito asked "in my next lifetime...maybe you could love me back...?" T_T It's a big relief that Kou finally can move on and be truly happy with Eito. It also nice that they have one nice co-worker who kind of helping them.

Love rivals become lovers is fun to read and this one is funny. I like their expressive chibi~ Miyako's mom is very nice.

I often enjoy reading rivals to lovers and this one is interesting~ Ryo and Zen are very lovely together.

페이백 / Payback

novel by SamK (삼크), art by Fujoking (푸죠킹)

I really like Yoon Jay and Lee Yoohan's relationship~! ; ; ♥♥ Payback is a very engaging read, usually I'm not into showbiz setting but this is very interesting , I want to read all their novels as soon as possible >< I really like their relationship development, Jay and Yoohan's interactions are amusing and heartwarming. I really like how Jay waited until Yoohan opens his heart first before he embraced him, though he flirts a lot and so touchy. I like how Jay loves Yoohan a lot, even though he is psychotic. Yoohan is endearing. Some supporting characters are also nice, Choi manager and Hansoo. The SA, r*pe, abuse in the entertainment industry (that extremely disgusting trashy Kim and his circle) is traumatic. When Yoohan made peace with his deep guilt, that dream scene with his younger brother, it was very heart-wrenching. All kind of my emotions overflowed at the ending ; ; I'm very excited with their sequel adaptation, hope they adapt everything till the finale well~

귀야곡 / The Ghost's Nocturne

The Ghost's Nocturne art is really amazing. I really like how they portray Jaeshin's expressions when they're doing it, they show various angles very well. Jaeshin and Lee Nok are very gorgeous, very beautiful. Jaeshin was a red flag at first (he's the son of underworld king, half-human) but when he's falling for Lee Nok and turns to green, he's very endearing. His puppy form is very cute, Geumdong~ I really like Jaeshin and Lee Nok's loving relationship ♥♥ (their embracing scenes are very good, very passionate, but all their intimate interactions are very lovely). The horror part is really scary, stories of the victims are so heartbreaking, the main villain is extremely infuriating, real evil.

체크 메이트 / Checkmate

Tan (탄)

I first interested with this because it's psychological and has art students character/plot. I didn't know what happened there would be extremely distressing (Shinhae please be happy, a lot). When Soohyun interacted with that disgusting trash, got kidnapped, what that f-cking trash did to Shinhae, I can't describe how dreadful I was. Lee Soohyun has been very obsessed with Jung Eunsung since high school, Eunsung actually was kind of interested in him too when they're still in high school but Soohyun's obsession still very strong even after long years passed. Their re-encounter started very badly (Eunsung was in very bad shape but actually that part was too much). Their relationship was intense, it can be so messed up, but it's a very interesting read. Their characters developments, gradually grow into healthier loving relationship, Checkmate is captivating.

물가의 밤 / Low Tide in Twilight

Euja (으자)

Omegaverse is not my favorite but I try reading some that seems great. I didn't expect I would be so hooked on Low Tide in Twilight. This probably my top favorite omegaverse. Yeo Taeju was a red flag turns to green, somehow I can't hate him even when he was in his red flag era. Yeo Taeju might be Kim Euihyun's nightmare at first, but he also saves him. Taeju and Euihyun's relationship development is really good. Taeju's redemption is real nice, he truly acknowledged how bad he was and changes to much better partner/lover for Euihyun. When a heartbreaking moment happened, he was deeply hit by realization how he made Euihyun's life a hell, he believes he better stays away, I can get why he left though it's really sad. It was exciting and heartfelt when Euihyun pulled him back (though it's also a red flag). I really like the art, specially Taeju's and Euihyun's various (amusing) expressions. Euihyun's brother, Euiyoung is very adorable, really an angel. Taeju's parents seems interesting, sometime in future they might have their own story? I'm very excited for side stories, please be a lot~

동정의 형태 / Form of Sympathy

Park Nodeok (박노덕)

I tend to avoid any teacher-student romance so at first I was contemplating to read this, but because their relationship happen as former student x former teacher (re-encounter) and not when they're still in school, I tried reading this. Hyaaaa- Form of Sympathy is really heartfelt, really good~! I really like how the author interviewed real teachers, truly care thoroughly how they make this story. I can feel the teacher's burnout for real. I adore Kwon Yuri a lot, even though he can be a red flag, I just can't help myself liking him. Yuri sometimes makes me laugh, sad, want to scream "this crazy!! ; w;)". I really like his relationship dynamic with Lee Seonwoo. Usually I'm not that fond of a character that sleeps around, but Seonwoo makes me really sad. He slept around to distract his pains with temporary pleasures, which badly damages him more. Yuri's desperation to keep Seonwoo by his side was very sad, the toxicity, over dependency, and he used the self-destructive way, but I can see how Seonwoo is best match for Yuri (and vice versa). I also like how Seonwoo seriously think about Yuri's future (he believes Yuri will meet a better suitable lover), was reluctant to accept Yuri on his side even though he's attempted to indulge in Yuri's embrace. When he gave up his overthinking and just indulging in doing it with Yuri, it was refreshing~ Two very broken characters, getting closer because they sympathize with each other. As they are together, there are more life sparks seen in their eyes. Reading this makes me very emotional, it's realistic.

I really adore Yuri friendship with Yohan~! >w< their best friend dynamic is amusing and heartwarming (they curse a lot though ; ;). Jung Yohan x Park Kyung from For Your Love, it's sweet but Kyung can be a bit of headache (felt more in their side story). Yuri also appears in that BL (there's a bit of Yuri and Seonwoo-ssaem moments, they were purely a high school student with his favorite teacher), his remarks were spot-on which helps Yohan and Kyung's relationship development but another time he provoked them badly ;w; Yuri always my favorite ; w ;

산가지는 도깨비의 꿈을 꾼다 / Dreaming of the Dokkaebi

Team LAPIS

I adore Bihwan a lot~! When he ran away and did what he used to (very long years ago) but obviously not working in the modern age, when he doing things he never did in his life before, many parts about him are amusing. Seems he has very painful past and Joo Minchan's life has been painfully hard. All the mysteries makes me curious, I really like Bihwan and Minchan dynamic I want to keep reading about them, they are amusing and stronger together. I'm excited to read how they are in loving relationship later. The headless ghost following them is creepy but somehow cute(?)

I'm very interested in Soul Fire~! I'm contemplating to just read the novel now >< I saw some spoilers and seems the novel is beautifully well-written. I want to (as soon as possible) read how Yoon Taehee and Jaegyeom relationship develops, I really like both of them. I'm curious with the story development too. The art in manhwa adaptation is very nice, Mesan is veerryy adorable~ I have a kind of feeling that this might rise to be my top favorite BL manhwa...

헌터는 조용히 살고싶다 / The Hunter Wants to Live Quietly

I adore Lee Sayoung and Cha Euijae a lot~! Their dynamic and relationship are endearing and exciting. Their bickering and unconscious flirts. The Hunter Wants to Live Quietly is very enjoyable to read, I'm curious with their relationship development and all the mystery, twists and turns, I want to be patiently waiting for manhwa's update but also feel the urge to read the novel then indulge in manhwa's visual later. I wonder what will I do.

1995 청춘 레포트 / 1995 Youth Report

Maengsu (맹수)

1995 Youth Report is very cute~!! I really like the art and the dynamic between main characters, Do Jinwoo and Lee Daehan, they are very lovable >w< Daehan helps Jinwoo's report with his good handwriting and in return, Jinwoo helps Daehan in 'dating lessons'. Daehan being active asking for /intimacy/ is amusing and cute. They catch feelings as they're getting more intimate, hopefully they don't take time too long to be together (it's kind of complicated now, they need a proper talk, hopefully they can communicate well ><)

이웃집 길드원 / The Guild Member Next Door

The dynamic between Yoon Jigu and Lee Yeowoon is really hilarious ; w ; ). Their game characters, Ji9star and Neutaaaa, interactions are so amusing too, from enemies to lovers. I really like their game characters, very adorable~! Ji9star and Meow are very cute too. Their misunderstandings are hilarious, Jigu's misunderstanding is like on another level, I laughed a lot reading this ; w ; Their slow burn romance is very adorable. Jigu the tsundere baby top and Yeowoon the power bottom. The Guild Member Next Door is very entertaining and adorable reread~! Meow's story (he has his own love story novel) seems interesting too.

살인마 르웰린 씨의 낭만적인 정찬 / Murderous Lewellyn's Candlelit Dinner

Murderous Lewellyn's Candlelit Dinner is very heartfelt, very heartbreaking. The plot twist, their true past ;__; Lewellyn and Shavonne relationship makes me so emotional, if I suddenly feel emotional looking at onion (allium cepa) it must be because they pop up in my mind. This is a masterpiece.

You Get Me Going is a very nice and lovely read~! I think I'm going to reread this pretty soon since it's been quite long I read this. I don't remember everything clearly but I remember it's rival to lover trope, one of my favorite, that I really enjoyed reading. Kang Hyeonwoo and Go Yeongwon relationship development is lovely, I like the dynamic between them.

공과 사는 구분해! / Between the Lines

Hodot (호돗)

Seo Juheon and Baek Dohu relationship is adorable and interesting but the angst ;__; Season 2 finale ended with time skip and their (short moment of) re-encounter, I'm not a fan of time skip but I guess they do need some time to cool down, ponder and learn about everything that happened. Their problem might not seem that big if it happened to others, but because it's between them, with Juheon's past experiences and Dohu's struggles in understanding the relationship and emotions, it becomes a heartache. I'm excited (with anxiety) how Dohu will try to work things out with Juheon after re-encounter, and what Juheon will do in next season ><

청사과 낙원 / Green Apple Paradise

The art of Green Apple Paradise is very nice and pretty. I really like Myeong Jaewon and Yang Maehwa's relationship and their development. Maehwa is very adorable, it's really cute when he's drunk and bought Jaewon's 'favorite' because he wants to make Jaewon happy. This actually was higher on my favorite list at first, but Dalguk and Yeonan's relationship development was pretty draining for me ; x ; even though the second couple usually are more intense, have smut moments that sexier than the adorable/wholesome first couple, in this story I like the first couple, Jaewon and Maehwa, much more~

I kind of wishing a bit for Dalsan's story if there's any? if he's in BL... seems exciting.

레인보우 시티 / Rainbow City

Kang Soohwan and Seok Hwa are very adorable, I really like their interactions and relationship development. They are the biggest reason that Rainbow City is likely to be my top favorite in zombie apocalypse genre. Seok Hwa is very cute~ and it's so adorable seeing him really like Soohwan's (weird-shaped) stone gift and brings it everywhere ; w;)

Punch Drunk Love is very funny~! Jung Taemoon and Park Seonwoo's misunderstanding at the beginning was hilarious. Their journey from misunderstanding to confession to loving relationship are so fun and lovely. I laughed a lot reading this. Seonwoo's fashion sense is great ; w ; Seonwoo's family is really nice, perhaps that's why Seonwoo can always be his true self healthily. The art is very nice, I really like their chibi and Seonwoo's robots are funny. Taemon and Seonwoo's relationship is very fun and sweet to read.

울프인더하우스 / Wolf in the House

Park Jiyeon (지연)

The art of Wolf in the House is really good, and the story is really nice. The first couple, Yeo Minseok and Bexan, is nice and cute but the second couple, Lee Ein and Leto, is really captivating. Bexan's chaotic energy is very fun to read. Two very charming werewolves, Bexan and Leto, their interactions also adorable(?). Ein and Leto's moments are often (if not always) breathtaking.

Wolf in the House (Nightfall) is so intense it feels more like a sequel than side story ; ; I really adore Ein and Leto very deep and powerful relationship. Leto's past is really heart-crushing, it's really great that he and Ein found each other and can be truly happy together, forever.

Eresemo (에레세모)

Killer Crush is a very fun read~! Main couple, actor and killer (I'm glad he can quit it later since he doesn't want that life), Kang Dahyeok and Joo Taeman are so adorable, and the villain couple is so funny. It has comedy, romance, action, this is a light and very enjoyable reread~

The art of Nerd Project got me interested then the relationship development of Andrew and Luke keep me feeling excited in reading. It still early to say more since their relationship is just getting deeper, hopefully this will be a great work. The cliffhanger of season 1 was really asdfghjkl—, 'they ended the season at that point?!!' kind of ending. I'm glad that at this time I'm writing the season 2 is starting~

그래도, 좋아해? / Do You Still Like Me?

The beginning part of this might be confusing since it's related with another manhwa that released first. From spoilers, I'm not interested in reading that one but I'm interested with the art here, I also enjoy alpha x alpha so I keep reading. It's getting better and I like this a lot~! Colton Law and Seo Jinwoo are so fine and charming. The blurry(?) mark on the alpha body that will turn into beautiful mark (like ink painting of plants) is interesting touch, though because Colton and Jinwoo are both alphas, those blurry marks don't change. I wonder if they will have a special mark developed later. The romance between characters in late 30s to 40s is greatly endearing to read, specially Colton and Jinwoo. Their fashion also very nice to enjoy. Their relationship is really lovely and passionate. Their side stories also very nice, I want to keep reading their daily lives ♥

Favorite BL Manhua

This beginning of year I feel like trying to make a list of my favorite BL. I've been reading more these past years, specially manhwa and manhua (I used to read manga only for BL, for several years before I started to read another).

My history of reading BL manhua began with 19 Days. I saw their illustrations popped up pretty often and I was getting more and more interested to read it. I really like 19 Days a lot~!! I was wondering is there another BL manhua I would be interested to read. For some months, after I caught up with 19 Days' latest update (at that time), I saw Mo Dao Zu Shi's illustrations pretty often. It seems to be a very popular danmei (it is), their drama series adaptation also a huge hit. Then, I tried to read its manhua adaptation first, before trying to read its danmei/watch the series. MDZS catches my heart quite deep, after that I checked more BL manhua, specially danmei adaptations. Last year, I couldn't manage my time well to be able to read some danmei >_< I wish I can read more starting this year, there are several danmei that I really want to read as soon as possible.

I tried to pick 17 (+1) titles here~

1. 19天 19 Tian / 19 Days by Old Xian (old先)

I really adore these 4!! He Tian, Mo Guanshan, Zhan Zhengxi, Jian Yi ♥♥♥♥ I love TianShan a lot but, I like it most when four of them are together. They are very endearing, their funny moments always brighten up my night after I read it. He Cheng and Brother Qiu also very exciting to see/read when they're together. It's a long series but I want to reread it whenever I can~!

2. 小蘑菇 Xiǎo Mó Gu / Little Mushroom by Shisi (一十四洲), art by Mao Mao Tou (猫猫头)

This is really an interesting read and the manhua adaptation has beautiful visuals. I really like visuals of Lu Feng and An Ze and their chibis are very cute. I usually not into science fiction and/or apocalyptic stories, but maybe because I really like both main characters (Lu Feng An Ze ♥♥) and their interesting world-building, they make me want to keep reading. At the time I posted this I haven't properly read the novel yet, it's on number one position of BL-novels-that-I-want-to-read-soon list.

3. 撒野 Sā Yě / Run Freely by Wu Zhe (巫哲)

SaYe is precious, it's so heartfelt. I really adore Gu Fei and Jiang Cheng ♥♥ Gu Miao also adorable~ They are lovable and as they grow up, we learn together about their own selves and how they live. Their characters development, their very equal relationship, very nice balance they have between them. I really hope any adaptations of this story would be proper and great.

4. 将进酒 Qiang Jin Jiu / Ballad of Sword and Wine by Tang Jiuqing (唐酒卿)

At the time I posted this I haven't properly read the novel yet (it's on number two position of BL-novels-that-I-want-to-read-soon list), but from some spoilers this sounds like the type I would really like. Their sexual tension, enemy to lovers that have truly exciting dynamic. Both are equally powerful and their interactions make me want more. I also really like their visuals. Hopefully the manhua will adapt the novel very well. Xiao Chiye and Shen Zechuan ♥♥

5. 魔道祖师 Mó Dào Zǔ Shī / Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu (墨香铜臭)

This is the first danmei adaptation I tried to read and the beginning of my interest in danmei. I didn't expect I would be that hooked that I spent hours continuously reading this for days. It's so heart-wrenching yet beautiful, even the side characters' stories also heartbreaking. Wei Ying/ Wei Wuxian's life so tragic I think I cried quite a lot (it's quite a long while ago, my memory's blurry but I remember it hurts). Lan Zhan and Wei Ying ♥♥ Their interactions are so lovable, the dynamic between them is one of a couple/pairing's dynamic types I like a lot.

5. 天官赐福 Tiān Guān Cì Fú / Heaven Official's Blessing by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu (墨香铜臭), art by STARember

TGCF's manhua art/visual is soo pretty, soo beautiful~! I really like Hua Cheng and Xie Lian a lot ♥♥ Their interactions, their heartfelt love story. I haven't read everything (of TGCF) yet I'm not sure which one I like more, I put MDZS first here since I finished that manhua. I have a bit feeling that I might like TGCF more later (for a moment I put them both on number 5 here).

7. 全球高考 Quan Qiu Gao Kao / Global Examination by Mu Su Li (木苏里)

Global Examination is so interesting~ It feels fresh/new for me to read this kind of story, but the biggest force that makes me excited to keep reading is two charming main characters~! Qin Jiu and You Huo ♥♥ I really like their dynamic, feels like my heart jumping in joy and excitement when their romance appears (I want more~~). I like their visuals a lot too.

8. 犬大欺主 Quǎn Dà Qī Zhǔ / The Grown Dog Bullies Its Owner by Ruo Li, art by Zu Zhuan Jiu San

This is very adorable and enjoyable to read, also it's pretty~! Lin Lang and Xia Zhixing are so lovely and the second couple also very cute ♥♥ I equally enjoy reading both couples (which doesn't happen often). This one probably my most favorite in gamer setting BL.

9. 我嗑了对家X我的CP Wo Ke Le Dui Jia x Wo de CP / I Ship My Rival x Me by Pepa, art by Qualia

They're very adorable together~ I usually not that interested in showbiz setting (main couple here are actors) but I like this one. It's a light, fun, and cute read. That Yiliang's Diary part is amusing >w<

10. Jīng Jiǔ 经久 / Salad Days by Jing Shuibian 静水边, art by Tang LiuZang

Salad Days is so wholesome~! It's a great journey reading main couple relationship grows from childhood, teens to adults. They also have supporting side characters around them that makes this story is so heartwarming (there's very sad side chara background story though, I also cried when Song Xin helped Shen at that crucial time ; ; kind pretty soul). Jiang Shen and Bai Jinyi are so lovely together ♥♥

11. 解药 Jie Yao / Antidote by Wu Zhe

This probably the first Chinese BL I read which one of main characters has mental illness. The development of Jiang YuDuo and Cheng Ke relationship is very nice and interesting to see. I enjoy watching pairs that both sides feel equal (physically and character/personality-wise), this is one of them~

12. 貔貅饭馆，只进不出 Pi Xiu Fan Guan, Zhi Jin Bu Chu / Pixiu's Eatery, No Way Out by Hai Jingluo (海鶄落), art by Jiu Aoao

I thought this one would be an adorable fun light read at first, but it also has some touching moments. It's very enjoyable to read, entertaining and lovely. I really like Chinese mythology touch in this story. Pixiu and Wen Xi are so lovely ♥♥

13. 伪装学渣 Wei Zhuang Xue Zha / Fake Slackers by Mu Guahuang (木瓜黄), art by C7

I first attracted with this because of their visuals. Actually I'm not interested in reading high school romance anymore (except the funny one) but as I tried reading this, I like their dynamic a lot~! It's fun, lovely, enjoyable, they're so adorable. He Zhao and Xie Yu ♥♥

14. 这题超纲了 Zhe Ti Chao Gang Le / Beyond The Outline by Mu Guahuang (木瓜黄), art by JiJing Jun

I tried reading this because it's the same author from Fake Slackers (shared universe), it's pretty fun, lovely and enjoyable. Shao Zhan and Xu Sheng are cute~~

15. 迪奥先生 Dí'ào xiānshēng / Mr. Dior by Lu Ye Qian He (绿野千鹤)

This one is very funny light read~! It shows various tropes in BL, while they go through those roles they also learn more about each other and deepen their lovely relationship. I think it's the first BL manhua I read which the main couple is married.

16. 破云 Po Yun / Breaking Through the Clouds by Huai Shang (淮上)

I wish they would have adapted everything in manhua and not cut it a lot like that ;_; But since I like them I put this one on this list too. I usually enjoy reading mystery and this one is interesting. Though I don't enjoy the imposition of hetero dynamic there, Jiang Ting and Yan Xie, both as characters and as a couple, are nice.

破云2吞海 Po Yun 2: Tun Hai / Breaking Through the Clouds 2: Swallowing the Seas by Huai Shang (淮上)

I put this one here too since it's Poyun's sequel and it feels like they are one package (?). I feel that Jiang Ting and Yan Xie are more endearing but Wu Yu and Bu ChongHua are pretty nice too. I like when both couples interact~

17. 二哈和他的白猫师尊 Èr Hā Hé Tā De Bái Māo Shī Zūn / 2ha / The Husky and His White Cat Shizun by Meatbun Doesn't Eat Meat (肉包不吃肉)

I haven't read this danmei yet, from spoilers it seems this one filled with a lot of angst. Though it seems very heart-wrenching, specially the past lifetime (and second timeline?), it's interesting and 2 main characters interactions are fun to see/read. Hopefully they will adapt everything till the end, I enjoy their visuals. I'm excited to enjoy Chu Wanning and Mo Ran moments in manhua.

癒し系 iyashikei

when thinking about iyashikei there are two that pop up in my mind, they are Natsume Yuujinchou and Mushishi. I need some iyashikei manga and anime from time to time to keep me somewhat sane in between. Here are some iyashikei anime/manga I enjoy (not in particular order)~

ばらかもん Barakamon

Though it's been so long I don't really remember, I feel that I had fun watching Barakamon~! I might rewatch it soon or start reading the manga when I need something chill and heartwarming, and maybe, a little push to move forward.

君と僕。Kimi to Boku.

School-setting story of 5 boys that has iyashikei mood~! I like all of them (I like twins yuta-yuki the most) and I remember I enjoyed watching their stories long time ago. Heartwarming, funny, seishun!! I want to read Kimi to Boku manga soon, since this series has ended I want to know how their story continue, also I kind of miss them 🥺

しろくまカフェ Shirokuma Café

when I was about to watch this I thought whoa this series is long, can I keep watching this till the end. But then I watched it everyday and enjoyed it quite much~! Shirokuma Cafe has many characters and some of them are fun to watch. Panda is so adorable~ it caught me off-guard at that one sad episode of panda, I didn't expect there would be sad moment too.

田中くんはいつもけだるげ Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge

I wish I can be like Tanaka-kun 🥲 I enjoyed reading Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge quite a lot. It's calming and fun, likable characters (Tanaka-kun blessed with good friends) and nice moments. I actually wish for Tanaka and Shiraishi to be together as a couple by the end of manga 🥺 I want more of them~

同居人はひざ、時々、頭のうえ。Doukyonin wa Hiza, Tokidoki, Atama no Ue.

I watched this at the beginning of this year, thinking 'let's see some cuteness of cat and human' but what I got was a heartwarming story ; ; I want to read the manga soon (hopefully)~ Subaru's parents are really nice ;__; I got inspired by Subaru's mom ⁠—those plants in their home garden, seeds from various places they visited on holiday, it's really great, I wish I can do that someday.

That's all for now, I guess. There are few iyashikei I want to try watching but haven't yet >< (so many on my list to watch and read) Hope we will have more heartwarming iyashikei works to enjoy, that may become a little healing to get through the day. I hope I can read more watch more this year~ with my own pace.

two consecutive seasons of delights

クールドジ男子 Cool Doji Danshi

Cool doji danshi has finished airing this week, it was 6 months filled with adorableness~! Ichikura Hayate, Futami Shun, Shiki Souma, Mima Takayuki, Igarashi Motoharu, are all so cute! Their little daily clumsiness often makes me smiling 🥰 Their interactions, heartwarming friendship🫀✨ They also voiced by very nice voices that suit them well! I like all 5 cool doji danshi voices but three of my favorite voice actors are there (Uchiyama Kouki as Shun, Kobayashi Chiaki as Hayate, Furukawa Makoto as Motoharu) which made me more delighted when watching them~ I think I have more soft spot for Hayate and Motoharu (all 5 are so adorable), also Shiki Souta (Souma's aniki) 🫶 I really like their ending songs sung by their voice actors, especially the 2nd ending たいせつ.

In episode 24, that Shun and Souma 'accident' on the beach and when they took picture together with hanabi, were cute funny moments I replayed 笑 nice final episode 🥹. It has been an adorable little delight once in a week for 6 months, I'm going to miss them~🥺

characters development, friendships & romances

この音とまれ! Kono Oto Tomare

If I get asked which manga with romance in it that I like the most or would excitedly talking about, I likely will mention Kono Oto Tomare! first or it certainly on my top list. I didn't expect I would like a manga with music theme, traditional music instrument Koto, this much. I really like characters developments and relationships in Kono Oto Tomare!. Some of them seem to bring troubles but they learn to face their struggles together and their bond gets stronger, they really are a good team. Each of them has their own problems but with genuine supports from their team, their true friends, they are able to be their better self and walk side by side. Friendship and romance parts in Kono Oto Tomare! are really good.

/major spoiler alert/

My (two) most favorite characters are Kudo Chika 久遠愛 and Hozuki Satowa 鳳月さとわ!! I love both of them, they are very adorable and charming. I love their interactions. They also one of my top 2 favorite couple (not yet, but their feelings are mutual) among all mangas. I really like when Chika feels the urge to touch or embrace Satowa, oh my heart!!

When Satowa answered Uzuki why she wants to protect Chika (Satowa best woman!!) then Chika remembered his grandpa's last wish, they hugged each other tightly- uwaaaghh all this wholesome moment made my heart burst feeling overload!! While waiting for next chapter update, I read from the beginning of manga again, it just, really good ; ;

No matter how much others extend a hand to you, no matter how much they push you forward, whether or not you take that step, whether or not you take that hand, that is something only you get to decide. Several chapters after, Satowa's feeling got accidentally recorded in the footage they watched in koto club room, when others tried to help the situation after they heard her feeling toward Chika, Chika straightforwardly gave the best response!! (Chika best man!!) MY HEART—!! When Isaki talked about what Chika said at that time, Chika's words made me cried, knowing him feeling that happiness I'm- ;_;

I don't want to make this into something to be "embarrassed" about. To have somebody convey their love for me, and then being able to say that I love them back, I just thought how happy I was to experience that.

I also really like Takaoka Tetsuki 高岡哲生, best best friend!! He cares deeply for his friends, good at studying, cooking and at fighting too. Very kakkoii and gentle man, his father too. Sane, kota, and Mittsu are very nice friends but Tetsuki just-(my heart). Kurata Takezo and Kurusu Hiro, very nice senpai in koto club, their relationship also adorable~!! I love both lovely couples (not yet) in Kono Oto Tomare! I also interested in Takinami Suzuka sensei, wondering will he also be in relationship, maybe with Akira sensei? or Isaki? No romantic relationship is fine too.

I enjoy reading Kono Oto Tomare so much, it might be one of mangas that I re-read most often. Heartwarming and adorable, they also encourage me with their words. I watched anime because I want to listen to their koto, hope they will adapt it till the end with nice improvements. I wonder will I get to watch and listen to koto live performances someday, it's so charming.
