More Favorites~

It's been a while, I almost forgot about writing here because I was overwhelmed with /reality/. I want to update my favorite BL list, maybe this month. In a year, it might change quite a lot.

I have more favorites starting last year~! They are (njsj) livers and PLAVE~✨✨ I'm going to share a bit about my little journey finding them.

Around late 2019, I got into utaite and vocaloP. That excitement continued until 2020, not only them, I also listened to few Jp streamers (on t*cas) and checked some vtubers (from njsj). But later, I hit one of my extreme lows and lost all interests, until I got saved by Kis-My-Ft2 in 2021. After that, I mainly was into Kisumai and only checking some utaite/vocalo from time to time (Eve still my favorite). When Kisumai was in not good situation and wasn't that active, I got into Seventeen, they are keeping my flame alive. I thought I'm fine enough with Kisumai and Seventeen as my main vitamins, with some other interesting stuffs I watch sometimes.

Somehow, around late 2024? (Jeonghan enlisted?) I suddenly had this desire(?) to listen to some livestreams while reading stuffs or do this and that thing. Vtubers came up to my mind, I started with Fuwa Minato, who I used to listen a bit some time ago. I started watching ROF-MAO's contents, they are entertaining~! My interest in livers didn't stop at that point, I tried checking others.

If I remember it correctly, when I casually watched nijifes, I found there's a dance unit in njsj, VOLTACTION. I started checking more about them, Watarai Hibari's singing is really good. Then, when 3SKM was guest in Rofmaojuku, I started checking them too. Seems I enjoy watching/listening 3SKM the most among livers, and I really like Kitami's singing (and his adorable laughs). I think starting from their 1st anniversary, I watch/listen to them often, until now. I also checked Dytica and Oriens, they are fun too, I enjoy watching them (Mechatu-A) together~ For groups, I think I watch more of 3SKM > Volta > Rofmao > Dytica (this one pretty rarely together though). For individual liver, my most-often-watch now are Kitami Yusei and Fura Kanato.

When 3SKM was celebrating their 1st anniversary (2025) with 10hrs streaming, I looked around YT on their break time, there I noticed PLAVE. They were having their 2nd anniversary. I saw their names sometimes, seems that their music is good. Their streaming views are a lot too so I guessed they're well-liked and it got me interested. I started checking them last year and I still enjoy watching them now~ Their music is really good, they sing really well, I especially like Noah's singing. I really like that they make their own music and choreography. Their livestreams are fun too.

I got into PLAVE when they just released Caligo Pt.1 album, Dash is really cool. I try thinking what are my top 5 favorites from them, it's hard >< maybe these 5?

I was going to pick Dash but Yejun's rap in Pump Up The Volume is too powerful ; w;

Back to livers, I was very excited when they announced Voltaction x 3SKM Fusion LIVE, IMPACT. Both my favorite groups, and my top listen/watch livers: Kitamin and KNT are in the same unit!! with Hibari~!! Taiyou-gumi ❤︎❤︎❤︎

Also, I'm glad that I was there real time when 3SKM got their 3D, Kitamin 3D debut is really good~!

3SKM just released their 1st mini album, Nighthawks, I really like Close to me ;__;

Favorite Seventeen Unit Songs (& more)

Here is my list of 26 favorites single & album songs (Korean releases) from Seventeen, this is pretty hard >< Some songs are like on equal spots, but ranks don't really matter I guess. I'm grateful that my favorite group, Seventeen, have so many really nice songs. Some of their lyrics are so heartfelt. Since they make all their songs, it's also great when their songs have some connections (like through lyrics). No matter how time passes by, their color always there in their music.

The very first MV of SVT I know and I watched. When I got interested into looking about SVT more (began from variety show and Going Seventeen), I'm curious about their music. I suddenly remembered that, sometime ago I watched SVT's MV which was an ad in YT. It was the only time I watched an ad of group's MV that I know nothing about, in full (I only heard their name but I wasn't into idols anymore at that time). It was so cool. That MV is 'Don't Wanna Cry'. Even when there's another title track that I really like, perhaps as much as 'DWC', 'DWC' still has the most special spot in me that I likely to mention it first when got asked which title tracks I like.

Charming Melodies

Rock music, traditional music, classical, jazz —and all their sub-genres, have been my favorites that I listen pretty often. There are some manga/anime with music as their main theme that have special spots in my heart. I still listen to some of their songs from time to time.

Kono Oto Tomare ! / この音とまれ！

Sakura Amyuu (桜 アミュー)

I really like Kono Oto Tomare, specially because their relationships (their friendships and subtle romances) and character developments, but koto is equally a very essential part in the story. Their koto playing filled with abundant feelings built from their bonds and experiences, they're so heartfelt.

All Tokise koto club performances are very captivating and other schools' top performances also great. I found 2 (from yout*be) very memorable pieces played by Tokise: Ryuuseigun (龍星群) which is current Tokise koto club's first piece —the beginning of their lovely journey, and Tenkyuu (天泣) which was like Satowa's turning point making peace with her past and mended her relationship with her mother —a heartwarming and beautiful piece.

Inu-Oh / 犬王

One of traditional musical instrument that I really like is Biwa, usually used to accompany the telling of tales. Biwa music in Inu-Oh is interesting, Tomoari performs it with hair metal style together with Inu-ou's dance. I enjoy most of them, Inu-ou and Tomoari big show (and last when both alive), 'Dragon Commander', is so captivating.

Ninomiya Tomoko (二ノ宮 知子)

Nodame Cantabile is very entertaining and lovely to watch. I haven't read its manga yet >< hopefully I can read it soon. When I started to watch this a long time ago, I almost have zero knowledges in classical music even though I listened to some. Kodama Yuki (小玉 ユキ)

Through Sakamichi no Apollon, I know more jazz charming pieces, like Moanin' and My Favorite Things. It's a lovely read/watch about jazz loving youth, though their romances kind of messy (it's been a long time since I last watched my memory is blurry). They also have great soundtracks. I couldn't find their performances from official channel, here I attached a PV (preview/teaser) ~

Rock music is my most favorite music genre, specially alternative rock and shoegaze. I like it a lot that I have a tendency to check almost every anime/manga that has rock bands in it, though it doesn't mean I would try watching if it somehow doesn't interest me much. Here I pick 2 titles that have special spots in my memories:

NANA

Yazawa Ai (矢沢 あい)

I think NANA is one of my first favorite of anime/manga. It's more like, rock band member's relationships, their friendships, passionate romances, messy romances. Hachi's romances give me a kind of headache so I was like 'ok, you do you' kind-of-feeling when reading her story. I'm attached much more with Nana, specially because I adore Nana and Ren a lot. I remember a long time ago when I read that chapter of Ren's death, I was frozen for some minutes (in the computer room at school, before the lesson started, I came to class earlier and while waiting I checked NANA's manga), too heartbroken to think of anything. It's been more than a decade since its hiatus, I wonder if I can see it reaches to conclusion in my lifetime... Since the hiatus started not long after Ren's death, it's like the time has stopped for readers too... Personally, if Nana happen to end up (romantically) with someone later, I wish that person would be someone outside her close circle, someone new. Yasu is a good person but I kind of wish he would end up with that long-haired straight girl? (I forget her name) ><

I enjoy listening to songs in NANA a lot, Black Stones and Trapnest both are great. I'm biased with Black Stones more though, I like Rose and Kuroi Namida the most.

Kizu Natsuki (キヅナツキ)

It's BL but also a story about young people living with music, saved by music, loving each other through music. Though I feel something a bit lacking in anime adaptation (it's getting better), I'm so grateful with heartfelt songs in Given ; ; Centimillimental made really nice songs, Mafuyu's seiyuu (Shougo Yano) and Hiiragi's seiyuu (Imai Fumiya) delivered their characters' songs very well. I didn't know I would shedded some tears watching Given's Fuyu no Hanashi and syh's Umi e performances. Umi e really, how can it be that lovely, gentle and heart-wrenching, it portrays how Ritsuka completed that song really well. Someone we thought we would never meet again after they passed away, we find them in a song. My heart bursted when I listened to Ritsuka's chorus in Umi e ; ; Fuyu no Hanashi with Ritsuka ver. also shook my heart T_T Yoru ga Akeru is like a moving-on from a heart-wrenching deep love. Umi e, Yoru ga Akeru, and Fuyu no Hanashi with Ritsuka ver. are my top 3 favorite songs from Given anime.

スモークブルーの雨のち晴れ / Smoke Blue no Ame Nochi Hare

Hamada kamome (波真田かもめ)

It's a captivating story about love and life. For some, their nameless relationship might give anxieties, I am too, not a fan of situationship, but Kuji Shizuka and Azuma Sakutaro's relationship is very endearing. I really like watching (reading) them together. Their daily life, their intimate and passionate moments. They understand each other really well, even without /clear/ words we can feel their deep feelings toward each other. They used to be coworkers, met in their 30, then 8 years later they met again. They started being together when they were 38 years old, didn't have any contact for one season, then they're together again, now (in the story) they are 40, it's a very nice setting. I enjoy reading main characters in mid to late 30s the most, second most is 40s. I really like the topic about translation which makes me fond of this story even more. Everytime I reread this I feel something I can't really describe, it's a good feeling.

簡易的パーバートロマンス / Kaniteki Pervert Romance

Sekihara Neg (赤原ねぐ), Semori Nanako (瀬森菜々子)

I was interested with characters' visuals and try reading this, I didn't know I would like Kaniteki Pervert Romance this much. Sanada Ryouji (handsome popular student with certain face fetish) and Kashima Yuki (masochist delinquent), it was physical attraction at first but after they fall for each other, their relationship dynamic is so lovely and wholesome. Their character developments are endearing. Yuki's figuring out what his feeling is was adorable. Ryouji is really good boyfriend. They're perfect for each other. I'm not into bdsm but Ryouji and Yuki are so cute together, learning and understanding each other (theirs is more like role/light play, not really bdsm I guess). I think I want to reread (again) from beginning to final chapter~

囀る鳥は羽ばたかない / Saezuru Tori wo Habatakanai

Yoneda Kou (ヨネダコウ)

Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai is my early top favorite, in my early years of reading BL I was attached with this one the most. I am still excited when they have new chapters update. I really like Domeki Chikara and Yashiro relationship dynamic. They are so heartfelt. Yashiro's (past) life was heart-crushing, whenever I want to reread I feel heavy thinking I have to go through that again. I really hope we can see/read happy Yashiro with Domeki pretty soon ; ; This probably my top favorite yakuza BL.

Tasogare Outfocus, Zanzou Slow Motion, Yoiyoi Monologue, three titles that share the same universe with different main characters/couple, out of those three I adore Zanzou Slow Motion the most~! I really like Kikuchihara Jin and Ichikawa Giichi relationship. It's interesting to read and they are endearing. When I read Tasogare Outfocus Long Take, I keep looking for them. I want more~

Ichikawa Kei (市川けい)

It's a long read but Narasaki Motochika and Terushima Natsuki relationship is very lovely, a comfort couple. Their character development, their dynamic. Family, good friends, parts of Chika and Natsuki's lives are developed well. Chika's family is so adorable and Natsuki's family is nice. They also have official doujinshi: Indigo Blue Gradation. Blue Sky Complex is one of my early favorites, one of BL I read in my early years of reading BL and still reading when there is an update. Sometimes when I read new chapter I kind of a bit lost since it's been long, maybe I will reread when the final chapter coming...

Himemiko (ヒメミコ)

Monster and Ghost art is really beautiful and captivating. I'm not a fan of human x ghost romance but the art is just too irresistible. Tsubaki Koton and Kabuto Yuuki are very endearing together, I wish Yuuki still breathing... It's a really good story. I like the characters and enjoy reading their interactions a lot. My most favorite character: Ibitsu Hawatari~!! I kind of shipping Ibitsu and Nanahisa Aya, they're interesting together.

I really enjoy reading this, Saegusa Issei and Arochi Tooru are very adorable couple. They are each other safest space. Their relationship development feels natural, relaxing, and wholesome. They have sequel when they're in university: Bokutachi wa Mada Aoku Daigaku Nyuugaku Hen. I want to read more of them~~

Natsume Isaku (夏目イサク)

I read Hanakoi Tsurane in my early years of reading BL, it's nice that it has completed, I want to reread to refresh my memory before read their ending later (I haven't read the last volume yet by the time I'm typing this ><). I first interested because of their kabuki world setting. It's interesting and very nice story~ Their grandparents story is heart-wrenching though I get why they had to, their time was more difficult than now. Noda Junpei "Arai Gensuke" and Azuma Shuugo "Matsukawa Sougorou" are very lovely partner, both on stage and life.

Sometimes I see the cover with Sashinami Mei on it spreading and some asking who is it, I know, me too. I start reading this when I saw his cover, turned out he is my most favorite character here~ I really like Tashiro Keima too, he is very adorable. The main couple is Tashiro Keima and Ebihara Yuta, second couple is Sashinami Mei and Sega Mitsuki, both couples are endearing. The main couple is more on adorable side, while the side couple is more on hotter(?) side. I like their manga club too, they are very nice friends and have interesting character designs.

It's nice to read Kurosawa Yuichi and Adachi Kiyoshi relationship development, from their beginning, dating, marriage life. Yuichi's dating song in anime is hilarious ; w;

Nagai Saburou (永井三郎)

It's a coming of age story of three young boys in the countryside, learning about themselves. It has romance but it is more about identity and sexuality. It's a very good realistic read. In the cover are Mishima and Kirino, who become best friends after Mishima found out more about Kirino. The romance part is between Mishima and Yumeno. Yumeno and Kirino are in the same circle of friends since beginning of story. I'm very sad about Kirino ;_; Mishima and Yumeno relationship develops gradually as they grow up, it's great to see them happy together when they are adult. Even though this manga is very good, I'm not sure I can reread because that f*cking disgusting teacher. But maybe, someday...

Currently my top favorite from one of my favorite BL mangaka. The relationship development of Matsune Hiromichi and Kurahashi Hayato, from casual relationship (as fwb) to lover is really good. Realistic and beautiful. It's really nice when it shown that Hayato doesn't have the separation anxiety anymore. After all Hiromichi's struggles being gay and had to deny it, when it sank in him that he just embraced a man (finally embracing his true self), that moment made my eyes teary. I really like Hiromichi and Hayato dynamic, I want to read more of them ; ;

Asada Nemui (朝田ねむい)

I feel like I'm going to read all Asada Nemui sensei works that I can reach, no matter what theme it is, whether I like the setting or not. Asada Nemui's works are very interesting. I think, from some that I read, Call is currently my top favorite (second favorite is Sleeping Dead, a heavy and unforgettable read). The sui/cidal part feels real, even after meeting Haruhiko and spent time together, even though Akiyama really likes him, he still going on his original plan to do sui/cide. He miraculously saved, get some helps and restart his life. Some time later he meet Haru again. Haru's character development also good. It's realistic and somehow a comforting(?) read. How 'call' means in this story is real something.

Dental Darling has interesting characters and I like their expressions (chibi?). Two socially awkward, Morisawa and Hani's interactions are fun to read and endearing. They also have nice wingman. It's a cute and charming short read.

There are various couples here (connected characters between stories), I think I only into 2 couples. Daiki x Sawato is so heartbreaking, even though they're together at the end, what happened between them hurts. I like Kiriya x Zaizen the most and they're the reason Kachou Fuugetsu is this high in this list. Kiriya x Zaizen story is heart-wrenching but also excites me with how passionate they are.

Higa and Kousuke are next-door neighbors and constantly fight, but after certain situation they become xxx partner because they're compatible. Their relationship grows and developed lovingly. Their dynamic is adorable and fun to read. I like that they have pretty long story (and completed). They have several volumes and it's cute that they use abbreviation for their titles: KGS (Kuso Gaki Shuurai) / ACO (Atsushi Coming Out) / DDD (Doki Doki Dousei-hen) / HNW (Hello New World) / OLP (Ofutarisama Life Plan) / THX (Thank You).

Osuke and Nanami's relationship developed naturally. This has various stories from clients, human and spirits. It's an interesting read.

Sagan Sagan (佐岸左岸)

I really like the paneling here, how they show little details. Their anti-aging therapy is sweet. Nozue is very adorable, though before his character development he can be frustrating, his fear was not unrealistic. Togawa is really nice, he communicates well, give Nozue space when they fight, validates what Nozue feels and fears, even when he wanted to do more he held back and didn't do that make-up xxx that likely to worsen their relationship (when their fight had not resolved yet). He does his best to be more reliable so he can be with Nozue properly. He assures Nozue that it's okay to have fights, believing that their relationship will be fine after. They don't fight each other or win over each other, but fight for their better life together. Togawa's way of eating is so cute. Togawa and Nozue is a very lovely healthy couple.

Noji

It's cute that Nakamura Rou is adored by animals, so he's great in finding lost pets. He's in love with Sako Fumika (the detective) and keep trying to approach him, but Rou and Fumika's romance part only comes in near the end of story. It's a lovely and interesting read. Noji sensei works' covers often make me interested to read.

Their chibi are very cute and expressive, I like them~ I also like how they use eyes in the story. It seems that Kurose Yuuma's past lives lingering emotions turn into spirits, which possessed Yuuma to make their wishes related with Kiriyama Kaito come true. One of them seems very powerful and it's Yuuma's ancestor(?) who couldn't be together with Kaito's ancestor(?). I'm excited to read more of this, it's interesting~

Yajima and Torikai's rivalry is exciting to read, I like their dynamic. I get why Torikai's trauma made it hard for him but it stings for Yajima (and me, I believe different person is different). It's great that they resolved it well and getting lovelier. Also the part: "Aren't you supposed to be straight?" "not anymore" is really nice.

This is lovely and pretty exciting to read. Toujou Suzume is endearing and him liking Suzuko (penguin character) is very cute. Toujou and Keishi are so good together. Though there's a trouble (Keishi was too much in panic he messed up), they resolve it well. I want to see more of them~ Reading '10 things I want to do before I turn 40' kind of making me want to make that list too when I'm closer to that age...

Yamayade (やまやで)

I'm not into mutual unrequited love story but I was curious with this one, I teared up. Eito, realized he is in love with Kou but Kou had told him that he's not his type, how Kou (who actually in love with Eito first) pushed Eito away because their relationship grows more vulnerable. I usually not fond with a character who sleeps with others when they have someone they love, but (that scene was not shown) Kou was like giving up his love and his trauma with his ex made him too scared. I can get why he did that, but it still heart-wrenching when Eito knew it. I teared up when Eito asked "in my next lifetime...maybe you could love me back...?" T_T It's a big relief that Kou finally can move on and be truly happy with Eito. It also nice that they have one nice co-worker who kind of helping them.

Michiru Sonoo sensei is one of mangaka that I would try to read every works they make. They are interesting and have odd characters (which I enjoy reading). Socially awkward, almost devoid of emotions: Isejima and Yakumo: friendly, caring but going through life as lifeless, have been best friends for long years. Isejima's previous relationship didn't work out, he fears of dying alone and propose to Isejima believing he is the only one for him. As they spend time together as lover, they learn more about their inner selves. Their character development, the moment Isejima's emotional switch is on is heartfelt.

Tsurukame Mayo (鶴亀まよ)

Meguru is so endearing and iconic, it's sad and upsetting that her mother was shitty, glad that now she has Sentarou and Touma as her family. Sentarou is a sweetheart, he struggles a lot I wish he receives lots of loves and happiness. The dynamic between this 'dysfunctional family' is very enjoyable to read. I want to read more~ I like the art too.

Usually I'm not that interested in reading showbiz/idol romance but I like Ohshima Kamome's works so I tried reading this one, it's so cute~! Tomoya (idol) is so adorable and funny, his dynamic with Kei (bodyguard) is lovely. Their relationship developed nicely. Tomoya's idol group's members also adorable~

I also read Scarlet Beriko sensei works in my early years reading BL and wasn't that into them, but I enjoy this one. Issa and Nagisa relationship flows naturally, they are a wholesome couple.

Kizu Natsuki (キヅナツキ)

I like Sato Mafuyu x Uenoyama Ritsuka a lot, but can't help to feel really sad about Yoshida Yuki. Kaji Akihiko and Murata Ugetsu relationship hurts, though I guess that part of life happens. Nakayama Haruki is really nice I keep wishing for him to be truly happy~ I like Uenoyama the most~ It's nice that Given is very popular, we can listen to their great songs. Uenoyama and Mafuyu relationship is adorable, it's good that we can read more glimpses of them in adult life and they are still active in music.

I like how they show a realistic and bad side of working life (like overwork) in an office. Fukaya Kai approaches Watari Hirokuni when they're both adult, to fulfill his childhood promise to marry Hirokuni (and because he still likes Hiro, of course). Their interactions in childhood/teen were cute. When they meet again, Kai's situation makes him in need of Hiro's help for a place to stay. As they're getting closer, their relationship gives more strength for each other to live better.

I read this some time ago, when I want to read the continuation I reread from the beginning since I forgot almost everything. It's pretty slow progress but a nice read. It's lovely to have main couple established from beginning of the story (with some endearing flashback). Kazushige and Shin are secret lover since Shige is a heartthrob rising star and Shin also an actor. They resolves problems between them pretty well. Even when they are very busy they barely have free time, their relationship stays strong. What pushes Shige to be in that industry is upsetting, I'm waiting to read how they fight that evil. I kind of shipping the actor friend/senpai and idol friend, their interactions are fun to see~

Roji sensei's drawing is really adorable, their chibi are veeery cute~!! Even though I like straightforward characters the most, I can see how it's not easy to be lovers from best friends, those fears and anxieties. I enjoy reading this light read~ I also like the photography part in the story, it's heartwarming.

Shikke sensei's drawing is nicely adorable, their chibi are veeery cute~!! This story has abusive parent issue but overall, it's pretty light and cute read. Zono and Deto are chaotic at first but after they're getting closer they're adorable~ their friends are very nice too. I like Zono's cute things~

Since I haven't finished reading this story I don't know what will come and how they overcome it, hope there are more of Ushio and Kei endearing daily moments.

I really like Yoon Jay and Lee Yoohan's relationship~! ; ; ♥♥ Payback is a very engaging read, usually I'm not into showbiz setting but this is very interesting , I want to read all their novels as soon as possible >< I really like their relationship development, Jay and Yoohan's interactions are amusing and heartwarming. I really like how Jay waited until Yoohan opens his heart first before he embraced him, though he flirts a lot and so touchy. I like how Jay loves Yoohan a lot, even though he is psychotic. Yoohan is endearing. Some supporting characters are also nice, Choi manager and Hansoo. The SA, r*pe, abuse in the entertainment industry (that extremely disgusting trashy Kim and his circle) is traumatic. When Yoohan made peace with his deep guilt, that dream scene with his younger brother, it was very heart-wrenching. All kind of my emotions overflowed at the ending ; ; I'm very excited with their sequel adaptation, hope they adapt everything till the finale well~

귀야곡 / The Ghost's Nocturne

The Ghost's Nocturne art is really amazing. I really like how they portray Jaeshin's expressions when they're doing it, they show various angles very well. Jaeshin and Lee Nok are very gorgeous, very beautiful. Jaeshin was a red flag at first (he's the son of underworld king, half-human) but when he's falling for Lee Nok and turns to green, he's very endearing. His puppy form is very cute, Geumdong~ I really like Jaeshin and Lee Nok's loving relationship ♥♥ (their embracing scenes are very good, very passionate, but all their intimate interactions are very lovely). The horror part is really scary, stories of the victims are so heartbreaking, the main villain is extremely infuriating, real evil.

I first interested with this because it's psychological and has art students character/plot. I didn't know what happened there would be extremely distressing (Shinhae please be happy, a lot). When Soohyun interacted with that disgusting trash, got kidnapped, what that f-cking trash did to Shinhae, I can't describe how dreadful I was. Lee Soohyun has been very obsessed with Jung Eunsung since high school, Eunsung actually was kind of interested in him too when they're still in high school but Soohyun's obsession still very strong even after long years passed. Their re-encounter started very badly (Eunsung was in very bad shape but actually that part was too much). Their relationship was intense, it can be so messed up, but it's a very interesting read. Their characters developments, gradually grow into healthier loving relationship, Checkmate is captivating.

물가의 밤 / Low Tide in Twilight

Euja (으자)

Omegaverse is not my favorite but I try reading some that seems great. I didn't expect I would be so hooked on Low Tide in Twilight. This probably my top favorite omegaverse. Yeo Taeju was a red flag turns to green, somehow I can't hate him even when he was in his red flag era. Yeo Taeju might be Kim Euihyun's nightmare at first, but he also saves him. Taeju and Euihyun's relationship development is really good. Taeju's redemption is real nice, he truly acknowledged how bad he was and changes to much better partner/lover for Euihyun. When a heartbreaking moment happened, he was deeply hit by realization how he made Euihyun's life a hell, he believes he better stays away, I can get why he left though it's really sad. It was exciting and heartfelt when Euihyun pulled him back (though it's also a red flag). I really like the art, specially Taeju's and Euihyun's various (amusing) expressions. Euihyun's brother, Euiyoung is very adorable, really an angel. Taeju's parents seems interesting, sometime in future they might have their own story? I'm very excited for side stories, please be a lot~

동정의 형태 / Form of Sympathy

Park Nodeok (박노덕)

I tend to avoid any teacher-student romance so at first I was contemplating to read this, but because their relationship happen as former student x former teacher (re-encounter) and not when they're still in school, I tried reading this. Hyaaaa- Form of Sympathy is really heartfelt, really good~! I really like how the author interviewed real teachers, truly care thoroughly how they make this story. I can feel the teacher's burnout for real. I adore Kwon Yuri a lot, even though he can be a red flag, I just can't help myself liking him. Yuri sometimes makes me laugh, sad, want to scream "this crazy!! ; w;)". I really like his relationship dynamic with Lee Seonwoo. Usually I'm not that fond of a character that sleeps around, but Seonwoo makes me really sad. He slept around to distract his pains with temporary pleasures, which badly damages him more. Yuri's desperation to keep Seonwoo by his side was very sad, the toxicity, over dependency, and he used the self-destructive way, but I can see how Seonwoo is best match for Yuri (and vice versa). I also like how Seonwoo seriously think about Yuri's future (he believes Yuri will meet a better suitable lover), was reluctant to accept Yuri on his side even though he's attempted to indulge in Yuri's embrace. When he gave up his overthinking and just indulging in doing it with Yuri, it was refreshing~ Two very broken characters, getting closer because they sympathize with each other. As they are together, there are more life sparks seen in their eyes. Reading this makes me very emotional, it's realistic.

I really adore Yuri friendship with Yohan~! >w< their best friend dynamic is amusing and heartwarming (they curse a lot though ; ;). Jung Yohan x Park Kyung from For Your Love, it's sweet but Kyung can be a bit of headache (felt more in their side story). Yuri also appears in that BL (there's a bit of Yuri and Seonwoo-ssaem moments, they were purely a high school student with his favorite teacher), his remarks were spot-on which helps Yohan and Kyung's relationship development but another time he provoked them badly ;w; Yuri always my favorite ; w ;

I adore Bihwan a lot~! When he ran away and did what he used to (very long years ago) but obviously not working in the modern age, when he doing things he never did in his life before, many parts about him are amusing. Seems he has very painful past and Joo Minchan's life has been painfully hard. All the mysteries makes me curious, I really like Bihwan and Minchan dynamic I want to keep reading about them, they are amusing and stronger together. I'm excited to read how they are in loving relationship later. The headless ghost following them is creepy but somehow cute(?)

The Hunter Wants to Live Quietly is very enjoyable to read, I'm curious with their relationship development and all the mystery, twists and turns, I want to be patiently waiting for manhwa's update but also feel the urge to read the novel then indulge in manhwa's visual later. I wonder what will I do.

1995 Youth Report is very cute~!! I really like the art and the dynamic between main characters, Do Jinwoo and Lee Daehan, they are very lovable >w< Daehan helps Jinwoo's report with his good handwriting and in return, Jinwoo helps Daehan in 'dating lessons'. Daehan being active asking for /intimacy/ is amusing and cute. They catch feelings as they're getting more intimate, hopefully they don't take time too long to be together (it's kind of complicated now, they need a proper talk, hopefully they can communicate well ><)

I really like their game characters, very adorable~! Ji9star and Meow are very cute too. Their misunderstandings are hilarious, Jigu's misunderstanding is like on another level, I laughed a lot reading this ; w ; Their slow burn romance is very adorable. Jigu the tsundere baby top and Yeowoon the power bottom. The Guild Member Next Door is very entertaining and adorable reread~! Meow's story (he has his own love story novel) seems interesting too.

Puppy~~!! A small fluffy white puppy with strong spirit and a gentle loving werewolf, Don't Mess with the Puppy! is very lovable. Yoon Chiyoung (werewolf) and Kwon Heeseong (puppy) have really hard lives but then they found each other, loving each other. I really enjoy reading their interactions, their relationship is so lovely. The art here is so adorable~~ I wish they don't skip details though I'm going to read the novel ><

I really like the dynamic between Minjae and Heechan a lot~! When more things about Taekin are revealed, it brings all kind of emotions, not only Minjae-Heechan's relationship that is really lovely, Taekin's story also great. Their talk about 'half of me' is interesting. I wish they adapt everything into manhwa/webtoon (it's on hiatus) ; ; I need to read the novel, from spoilers I see that Half of Me is a really nice read, specially Minjae and Heechan adorable relationship.

Guiding Hazard is likely to be my top favorite of guideverse genre. I adore Seo Eunsung and Lee Taegun relationship so much. Their interaction and relationship development, their past in high school that encourages Eunsung greatly, everything about them is so lovable. I also really like those chibi talking/thinking parts inside their mind, very cute. Taegun's past is really upsetting, but he has Eunsung with him now ; ; Their guiding sessions are ♥♥ (the breaking things are amusing too ; w;)

무흔의 밤 / Night of the Unmarked

I adore Kim Muheun and Seo Seungjoo's dynamic and relationship so much. They are solid. Even though sometimes Seungjoo keep a little bit stuffs because he knows Muheun will be overly worried, he tells almost everything to Muheun which I like. It might seem that Muheun is frustrating at first (not for me) but what he did are understandable. He foreseen his future with Seungjoo but instead of letting that happen, he try his best to keep Seungjoo safe and happy from a distance, because Seungjoo is extremely precious for him. After Seungjoo first kissed him, he realized his feeling (love), but he still try to keep the safe distance with Seungjoo because he believes it's the best for Seungjoo. Though Seungjoo hates that. Sometimes their safe distance failed to be kept because this and that. It's really hard for both Seungjoo and Muheun. I was so heartbroken when Seungjoo tried to give up loving Muheun, then so happy because Seungjoo try to get hold of Muheun and work things out. I really like Muheun's tattoo that looks like ink painting, beautiful and cool, though the story behind it is painful. Night of Muheun is a very endearing read~

Spirit of Muryeong, Muheun's younger brother and Seungjoo's childhood friend, Kim Muryeong's story is adorable. Muryeong is like a soft warm sunshine.

빠나나 스캔들 / Banana Scandal

DolSHA (돌샤)

The story setting of Koreans studying overseas is interesting and feels realistic (I don't have much knowledge). Their struggles within the community, four main characters personalities and stories are well-written. Taehwan and Taehee are lovely brothers, their childhood scenes are so adorable. The first couple Taehee and Dojin is nice but the second couple's story in Banana Scandal, Woo Taehwan and Shim Yeonwu, is really heartfelt. I feel that Taehwan's redemption is one of the best redemption arc in BL manhwa/webtoon. Taehwan was really bad to Yeonwu, even though Yeonwu did wrong to Taehwan in the past, what Taehwan did was damaging. Yeonwu did something that triggered Taehwan's trauma (which Yeonwu know about much later), they were really good friends in high school but separated badly. When they met again in university, it was really bad for Yeonwu —Yeonwu, who neglected himself and has a very low self-esteem, brainwashed himself that he deserved what Taehwan did to him and he likes that he still have sort of relationship with Taehwan. When Yeonwu got extremely tired with everything and stayed away from Taehwan, Taehwan was shocked and tried to pull him back but it's not working. Taehwan who was in denial then realized his feeling, tried to do things better with Yeonwu. They almost got together again (because they're so passionate to each other) but it was really hard for Yeonwu who hadn't healed yet, it was really heartbreaking when Yeonwu realized how he neglected himself a lot, how pitiful he was. It was really heart-wrenching process of growing up. They continued their lives separatedly. Yeonwu have proper time to heal and loving his own self better. Taehwan tries to be worthy of Yeonwu, enduring his longing while regret things deeply. When they met again and talked about everything, poured all their feelings— damn, I've been very emotional when reading about their story but at that point it's emotions overflowed ;;__;; I think I cried several times reading their story. I feel like I can breathe again when they genuinely happy together, Taehwan and Yeonwu loving relationship is ♥♥

Regas is really good~!! Prince's childhood was heart-crushing, the abuse and the loss of Abel, the one who genuinely cares for him. Prince and Abel moments are so wholesome. Many might not like that Abel reincarnated to blonde-green eyed beauty because twinkification(?), but it's an important part for the plot. The artist does a really good work in Abel's reincarnation, even though the physical appearance is very different, we can see and feel the real Abel, it's Abel. The beginning part after reincarnation is very funny, I really enjoy the interaction between main and supporting characters. Karas (prince -> king -> captain commander) and Abel relationship is so ♥♥

I saw that Turning has many good reviews that I got interested in reading. The novel is really long but seems it's really a great work. Hope the manhwa/webtoon adaptation will be great too >< The dynamic between Kishiar and Yuder is exciting and their relationship seems very lovely (from spoilers). Since it's regression, it's likely that their first life was very heartbreaking. I'm excited with the story and their world-building. Also, Yuder's expressionless is amusing.

The Great Dungeon is really painful, Seo Chaeyoon ;__; I really adore Yoon Seo and Kwon Jihan dynamic, they are really lovely together. Yoon Seo is very adorable when he's liking and getting closer with Jihan. Jihan is the best mate (in work, life, everything) for Yoon Seo. Some of the last will are very nice, I particularly like that looking for certain-shaped clouds one —this feels like it's able to keep Chaeyoon alive and gradually healed at the same time. The art also getting more beautiful, I want more of Chaeyoon/Yoon Seo and Jihan ♥

Boss Bxtch Baby is a very enjoyable read~! I really like the dynamic between Koo Hojin and Baek Yooseong, specially their chibi are very adorable I like them a lot~!! I really enjoy reading their chibi scenes and extras (from Dacto's twi- X's account). Feels like this gets higher position on this list because of their chibis ;w; Yooseong can be so violent it's scary though I can't hate him. That part in side story "all the trauma from different universes" is amusing ; w;) Both Hojin and Yooseong are broken and flawed, it was toxic but they heal each other and have a loving relationship. I also like that song which Hojin's favorite, I listened to it sometimes around the time I was reading this (Hojin made me wanted to listen). Their side stories AU are interesting, their fox babies are so cute~!

Murderous Lewellyn's Candlelit Dinner is very heartfelt, very heartbreaking. The plot twist, their true past ;__; Lewellyn and Shavonne relationship makes me so emotional, if I suddenly feel emotional looking at onion (allium cepa) it must be because they pop up in my mind. This is a masterpiece.

You Get Me Going is a very nice and lovely read~! I think I'm going to reread this pretty soon since it's been quite long I read this. I don't remember everything clearly but I remember it's rival to lover trope, one of my favorite, that I really enjoyed reading. Kang Hyeonwoo and Go Yeongwon relationship development is lovely, I like the dynamic between them.

Seo Juheon and Baek Dohu relationship is adorable and interesting but the angst ;__; Season 2 finale ended with time skip and their (short moment of) re-encounter, I'm not a fan of time skip but I guess they do need some time to cool down, ponder and learn about everything that happened. Their problem might not seem that big if it happened to others, but because it's between them, with Juheon's past experiences and Dohu's struggles in understanding the relationship and emotions, it becomes a heartache. I'm excited (with anxiety) how Dohu will try to work things out with Juheon after re-encounter, and what Juheon will do in next season ><

The art of Green Apple Paradise is very nice and pretty. I really like Myeong Jaewon and Yang Maehwa's relationship and their development. Maehwa is very adorable, it's really cute when he's drunk and bought Jaewon's 'favorite' because he wants to make Jaewon happy. This actually was higher on my favorite list at first, but Dalguk and Yeonan's relationship development was pretty draining for me ; x ; even though the second couple usually are more intense, have smut moments that sexier than the adorable/wholesome first couple, in this story I like the first couple, Jaewon and Maehwa, much more~

I kind of wishing a bit for Dalsan's story if there's any? if he's in BL... seems exciting.

레인보우 시티 / Rainbow City

Kang Soohwan and Seok Hwa are very adorable, I really like their interactions and relationship development. They are the biggest reason that Rainbow City is likely to be my top favorite in zombie apocalypse genre. Seok Hwa is very cute~ and it's so adorable seeing him really like Soohwan's (weird-shaped) stone gift and brings it everywhere ; w;)

Punch Drunk Love is very funny~! Jung Taemoon and Park Seonwoo's misunderstanding at the beginning was hilarious. Their journey from misunderstanding to confession to loving relationship are so fun and lovely. I laughed a lot reading this. Seonwoo's fashion sense is great ; w ; Seonwoo's family is really nice, perhaps that's why Seonwoo can always be his true self healthily. The art is very nice, I really like their chibi and Seonwoo's robots are funny. Taemon and Seonwoo's relationship is very fun and sweet to read.

Park Jiyeon (지연)

The art of Wolf in the House is really good, and the story is really nice. The first couple, Yeo Minseok and Bexan, is nice and cute but the second couple, Lee Ein and Leto, is really captivating. Bexan's chaotic energy is very fun to read. Two very charming werewolves, Bexan and Leto, their interactions also adorable(?). Ein and Leto's moments are often (if not always) breathtaking.

Wolf in the House (Nightfall) is so intense it feels more like a sequel than side story ; ; I really adore Ein and Leto very deep and powerful relationship. Leto's past is really heart-crushing, it's really great that he and Ein found each other and can be truly happy together, forever.

The beginning part of this might be confusing since it's related with another manhwa that released first. From spoilers, I'm not interested in reading that one but I'm interested with the art here, I also enjoy alpha x alpha so I keep reading. It's getting better and I like this a lot~! Colton Law and Seo Jinwoo are so fine and charming. The blurry(?) mark on the alpha body that will turn into beautiful mark (like ink painting of plants) is interesting touch, though because Colton and Jinwoo are both alphas, those blurry marks don't change. I wonder if they will have a special mark developed later. The romance between characters in late 30s to 40s is greatly endearing to read, specially Colton and Jinwoo. Their fashion also very nice to enjoy. Their relationship is really lovely and passionate. Their side stories also very nice, I want to keep reading their daily lives ♥

Jibung (지붕)

One-Room TA is very interesting, fun read and has very nice art~! The characters are well-written, Uyun and Jinhyeong relationship is so adorable and fun. Their interactions with supporting/side characters are so enjoyable to read, the supporting characters are interesting. Uyun is so precious~!! Jinhyeong has difficult past and he might be the one who has the most character development here, I'm glad he can show his true self more (in front of others too, not only with Uyun) and be a better person after being in relationship with Uyun. It's great that he aware about his feeling for Uyun while they're still in relationship (at first he was thinking about breaking up), they're genuinely lovey-dovey now and chaotically cute ; w;

미성년 / Our Youth

히눈 Hinoon

I first knew about this from Japanese dorama adaptation which I plan to watch. I wondered should I read this or watch the adaptation first, then I felt more urge to read. This is really a good read. Our Youth feels realistic. Everything about it. Lim Heechan and Seo Jinhyuk, are flawed characters who become a better person as they spent time together. Both have complex personalities, rooted from child abuse and child neglect. They are so different at first but they match each other well. Their intimate scenes are lovely. Their feelings are actually mutual when they were at high school but they didn't get to be clear about it before that heartbreaking (and upsetting situation) farewell. It was a bittersweet youth. They missed each other and got to meet again after 6 years. Some chapters near the end felt a bit rushed, it feels like it can be explored more, but still it's realistic. I wish Jinhyuk's letter to Heechan would be the final touch, it would be really great ; ; since Heechan's letter to Jinhyuk part was really nice. It would be nice too if they can be honest about their relationship with Jinhyuk's tutor-Heechan's cousin couple, like they can be allies. Though that side story ending feels real and endearing.

클라우드 / Lost in the Cloud

Following Lost in the Cloud while it was ongoing really, their angst on the final season oh my dear-! ; x ; This BL actually was pretty high on my favorite list, but overall after I finished, I guess I have quite many others that I like more. This BL squeezed my heart with their angst per chapter update, maybe because I adore Baek Hyunwoon/Cirrus. I felt crushed reading what Cirrus experienced since childhood and what keep happening in his life. Even though Cirrus was being manipulative and they have toxic relationship, I can't hate what he did, I just felt sad. But, I felt frustrated with Yeon Haneul/Skylar. What he did at the beginning wasn't good too, I felt really bad with what his past and I know he still hadn't healed yet but his temper (and violence) and specially, what he said to Cirrus crushed my heart a lot. Both of them were very broken. I was relieved that Skylar realized what he did, working on himself (finally!), and tried to work it out with Cirrus. I would have felt really bad if Cirrus just went abroad in that condition. I don't feel that ok with what Chanil and Riin did to Cirrus and how it resolved, though it only makes me adore Cirrus more. The special story after final chapter is really nice, candy the sweetest ; ; ♡

I'm not usually interested in reading zombie apocalypse genre but Dead Man Switch is not only thrilling, it's really heartbreaking. Those countless loops filled with so much despair. I got hooked, curious how they will get out from there and how they live after. Youngwon and Hohyun relationship is very lovely. The novel seems to have more interesting details, I hope I can read it someday.

I feel like Radio Storm might be better to be read in one-go, even though reading per chapter also feel intense. I read it twice (fan-translation in one-go, official per chapter update), when I first read it in one-go, it was real breathtaking near the end. Lima and Sak's strong bond is captivating and this story is interesting. The way they use color in their art is really nice in portraying the atmosphere of the story. Though it's a dark story, they have some chibi moments and they're very cute. I also like their ending, it's realistic, a good one.

I got interested reading this because I like supernatural BL, nice art and many good reviews. I didn't expect I would be so heartbroken over the second pair (though they're not couple) Yeomra and Cho Yoomin. Their story is just so... ;_; they could have became really good friends. I like Go Beomjin and Cho Yoonjae lovely relationship, their background stories are heartbreaking but I'm glad they are happy together now. I read the main story after it finished and I was excited when I saw they have side story, their child form are so adorable —oversized clothes and socks, holding hands and protecting each other.

I don't remember clearly which BL manhwa I read first, but somehow I have a little feeling that it's Semantic Error. I remember I heard/saw this title before I start reading BL manhwa so I tried reading this one first. Jang Jaeyoung and Chu Sangwoo's interaction and relationship development are interesting and well-executed. I like how the artist used colors and graphics to portray their emotions. When I read this it still ongoing so I felt their angst per chapter update T w T) This one probably the first BL I read that has a character on the spectrum.

Dajeong and Haneul relationship development is very lovely~! I'm not that fond of flirty character, but Haneul's sweetness to Dajeong is adorable. I like Dajeong a lot~! Dajeong really good in having a healthy relationship, he's facing Haneul properly and communicates well. There are various kind of expressions and funny moments, supporting characters also fun to read. I also like that Haneul's hobby is making pastries.

It might be too early to put this BL on this list because at this time I read (only) 21 chapters of it. But I adore them already~! I feel like we need someone like Kang Hyunbeom in our school, an excellent student who actually do his work as the head of the disciplinary committee (at a prestigious all-boys high school known for its strict rules). Hyunbeom grew up under parents in the education field who keep reminding him to be an example in front of others and do his best in tasks assigned for him, so he has strong sense of exemplary conduct since childhood. His unyielding personality and firm attitude makes it hard to find delinquent students who dare to challenge him (they gave up being problematic and become better students). This, might make it seems like he is bothering our "delinquent" transfer student, Ban Taehyun, too much. But Hyunbeom don't quickly judge and believe that even delinquents that others see as hopeless can become a proper student when guided well. When Taehyun found Hyunbeom injured and saved him, people assumed that it's Taehyun's who hit him. But Hyunbeom believes, in a short moment when he still conscious, it's not Taehyun, he tried to figure out what actually happened. When people around them judged Taehyun, Hyunbeom tried to work things out. After that incident, they're getting closer, Hyunbeom keeps helping Taehyun who opens his heart gradually, to live properly. They are so adorable >w< At this time, Taehyun has feeling for Hyunbeom, it's so cute he keep blushing .w. We still don't know how Hyunbeom is, but we know that he genuinely cares for Taehyun. I wish Problematic Leadership Activities will be fun and lovely BL~

Usually I'm not that interested in isekai/transmigration genre but I got interested with the art so I tried reading, Dreadful Night is pretty interesting. I think this one is the only trapped-in-game story I follow so far. Nam Doha and Pi Bada relationship development is exciting to read and both are interesting characters. Bada's fashion is nice to see too, I like his hairstyles. I really like when Doha and Bada are lovey-dovey~ I got lost at some point with the mystery (I don't try making theories though, I just let it flow?), then it feels like suddenly things got revealed more. Hopefully this will keep being exciting (and intense?) to read and has satisfying ending.

Favorite BL Manhua

This beginning of year I feel like trying to make a list of my favorite BL. I've been reading more these past years, specially manhwa and manhua (I used to read manga only for BL, for several years before I started to read another).

My history of reading BL manhua began with 19 Days. I saw their illustrations popped up pretty often and I was getting more and more interested to read it. I really like 19 Days a lot~!! I was wondering is there another BL manhua I would be interested to read. For some months, after I caught up with 19 Days' latest update (at that time), I saw Mo Dao Zu Shi's illustrations pretty often. It seems to be a very popular danmei (it is), their drama series adaptation also a huge hit. Then, I tried to read its manhua adaptation first, before trying to read its danmei/watch the series. MDZS catches my heart quite deep, after that I checked more BL manhua, specially danmei adaptations. Last year, I couldn't manage my time well to be able to read some danmei >_< I wish I can read more starting this year, there are several danmei that I really want to read as soon as possible.

I tried to pick 17 (+1) titles here~

1. 19天 19 Tian / 19 Days by Old Xian (old先)

I really adore these 4!! He Tian, Mo Guanshan, Zhan Zhengxi, Jian Yi ♥♥♥♥ I love TianShan a lot but, I like it most when four of them are together. They are very endearing, their funny moments always brighten up my night after I read it. He Cheng and Brother Qiu also very exciting to see/read when they're together. It's a long series but I want to reread it whenever I can~!

2. 小蘑菇 Xiǎo Mó Gu / Little Mushroom by Shisi (一十四洲), art by Mao Mao Tou (猫猫头)

This is really an interesting read and the manhua adaptation has beautiful visuals. I really like visuals of Lu Feng and An Ze and their chibis are very cute. I usually not into science fiction and/or apocalyptic stories, but maybe because I really like both main characters (Lu Feng An Ze ♥♥) and their interesting world-building, they make me want to keep reading. At the time I posted this I haven't properly read the novel yet, it's on number one position of BL-novels-that-I-want-to-read-soon list.

3. 撒野 Sā Yě / Run Freely by Wu Zhe (巫哲)

SaYe is precious, it's so heartfelt. I really adore Gu Fei and Jiang Cheng ♥♥ Gu Miao also adorable~ They are lovable and as they grow up, we learn together about their own selves and how they live. Their characters development, their very equal relationship, very nice balance they have between them. I really hope any adaptations of this story would be proper and great.

4. 将进酒 Qiang Jin Jiu / Ballad of Sword and Wine by Tang Jiuqing (唐酒卿)

At the time I posted this I haven't properly read the novel yet (it's on number two position of BL-novels-that-I-want-to-read-soon list), but from some spoilers this sounds like the type I would really like. Their sexual tension, enemy to lovers that have truly exciting dynamic. Both are equally powerful and their interactions make me want more. I also really like their visuals. Hopefully the manhua will adapt the novel very well. Xiao Chiye and Shen Zechuan ♥♥

5. 魔道祖师 Mó Dào Zǔ Shī / Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu (墨香铜臭)

This is the first danmei adaptation I tried to read and the beginning of my interest in danmei. I didn't expect I would be that hooked that I spent hours continuously reading this for days. It's so heart-wrenching yet beautiful, even the side characters' stories also heartbreaking. Wei Ying/ Wei Wuxian's life so tragic I think I cried quite a lot (it's quite a long while ago, my memory's blurry but I remember it hurts). Lan Zhan and Wei Ying ♥♥ Their interactions are so lovable, the dynamic between them is one of a couple/pairing's dynamic types I like a lot.

5. 天官赐福 Tiān Guān Cì Fú / Heaven Official's Blessing by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu (墨香铜臭), art by STARember

TGCF's manhua art/visual is soo pretty, soo beautiful~! I really like Hua Cheng and Xie Lian a lot ♥♥ Their interactions, their heartfelt love story. I haven't read everything (of TGCF) yet I'm not sure which one I like more, I put MDZS first here since I finished that manhua. I have a bit feeling that I might like TGCF more later (for a moment I put them both on number 5 here).

7. 全球高考 Quan Qiu Gao Kao / Global Examination by Mu Su Li (木苏里)

Global Examination is so interesting~ It feels fresh/new for me to read this kind of story, but the biggest force that makes me excited to keep reading is two charming main characters~! Qin Jiu and You Huo ♥♥ I really like their dynamic, feels like my heart jumping in joy and excitement when their romance appears (I want more~~). I like their visuals a lot too.

8. 犬大欺主 Quǎn Dà Qī Zhǔ / The Grown Dog Bullies Its Owner by Ruo Li, art by Zu Zhuan Jiu San

This is very adorable and enjoyable to read, also it's pretty~! Lin Lang and Xia Zhixing are so lovely and the second couple also very cute ♥♥ I equally enjoy reading both couples (which doesn't happen often). This one probably my most favorite in gamer setting BL.

9. 我嗑了对家X我的CP Wo Ke Le Dui Jia x Wo de CP / I Ship My Rival x Me by Pepa, art by Qualia

They're very adorable together~ I usually not that interested in showbiz setting (main couple here are actors) but I like this one. It's a light, fun, and cute read. That Yiliang's Diary part is amusing >w<

10. Jīng Jiǔ 经久 / Salad Days by Jing Shuibian 静水边, art by Tang LiuZang

Salad Days is so wholesome~! It's a great journey reading main couple relationship grows from childhood, teens to adults. They also have supporting side characters around them that makes this story is so heartwarming (there's very sad side chara background story though, I also cried when Song Xin helped Shen at that crucial time ; ; kind pretty soul). Jiang Shen and Bai Jinyi are so lovely together ♥♥

11. 解药 Jie Yao / Antidote by Wu Zhe

This probably the first Chinese BL I read which one of main characters has mental illness. The development of Jiang YuDuo and Cheng Ke relationship is very nice and interesting to see. I enjoy watching pairs that both sides feel equal (physically and character/personality-wise), this is one of them~

12. 貔貅饭馆，只进不出 Pi Xiu Fan Guan, Zhi Jin Bu Chu / Pixiu's Eatery, No Way Out by Hai Jingluo (海鶄落), art by Jiu Aoao

I thought this one would be an adorable fun light read at first, but it also has some touching moments. It's very enjoyable to read, entertaining and lovely. I really like Chinese mythology touch in this story. Pixiu and Wen Xi are so lovely ♥♥

13. 伪装学渣 Wei Zhuang Xue Zha / Fake Slackers by Mu Guahuang (木瓜黄), art by C7

I first attracted with this because of their visuals. Actually I'm not interested in reading high school romance anymore (except the funny one) but as I tried reading this, I like their dynamic a lot~! It's fun, lovely, enjoyable, they're so adorable. He Zhao and Xie Yu ♥♥

14. 这题超纲了 Zhe Ti Chao Gang Le / Beyond The Outline by Mu Guahuang (木瓜黄), art by JiJing Jun

I tried reading this because it's the same author from Fake Slackers (shared universe), it's pretty fun, lovely and enjoyable. Shao Zhan and Xu Sheng are cute~~

15. 迪奥先生 Dí'ào xiānshēng / Mr. Dior by Lu Ye Qian He (绿野千鹤)

This one is very funny light read~! It shows various tropes in BL, while they go through those roles they also learn more about each other and deepen their lovely relationship. I think it's the first BL manhua I read which the main couple is married.

16. 破云 Po Yun / Breaking Through the Clouds by Huai Shang (淮上)

I wish they would have adapted everything in manhua and not cut it a lot like that ;_; But since I like them I put this one on this list too. I usually enjoy reading mystery and this one is interesting. Though I don't enjoy the imposition of hetero dynamic there, Jiang Ting and Yan Xie, both as characters and as a couple, are nice.

破云2吞海 Po Yun 2: Tun Hai / Breaking Through the Clouds 2: Swallowing the Seas by Huai Shang (淮上)

I put this one here too since it's Poyun's sequel and it feels like they are one package (?). I feel that Jiang Ting and Yan Xie are more endearing but Wu Yu and Bu ChongHua are pretty nice too. I like when both couples interact~

17. 二哈和他的白猫师尊 Èr Hā Hé Tā De Bái Māo Shī Zūn / 2ha / The Husky and His White Cat Shizun by Meatbun Doesn't Eat Meat (肉包不吃肉)

I haven't read this danmei yet, from spoilers it seems this one filled with a lot of angst. Though it seems very heart-wrenching, specially the past lifetime (and second timeline?), it's interesting and 2 main characters interactions are fun to see/read. Hopefully they will adapt everything till the end, I enjoy their visuals. I'm excited to enjoy Chu Wanning and Mo Ran moments in manhua.

Visual Arts, and dream

Art is a life that I have been dreaming of the most. Just imagining it already gives me so much feelings I want to live in, yet it weirdly scares me every time I try to take a step closer. In my journey of struggling to be brave enough, there are some manga with visual art life as theme, that become my favorite friends.

Blue Period ブルーピリオド

Blue Period manga is really a great read. Maybe almost all or all (?) story arc are interesting. They are thought-provoking, somehow encouraging to keep giving the best of ourselves at that moment. I enjoy reading (almost) all characters and their journey, though I am more excited reading/watching interactions between Yuka-chan (Ryuji) x Yatora, also Yakumo x Momo-chan (unlikely to be a ship). Reading this manga often makes me feel I wish I am brave, just go, live it fully!!.

Hachimitsu to Kurōbā ハチミツとクローバー

Honey and Clover really a heartfelt story, self-discovery, relationships, youth, life. I watched the anime and read the manga for the rest of story (after anime) a long, long time ago that my memories of it is blurry. I vaguely remember I had a rollercoaster of emotions following their complex relationships. I forget when I found this but, I remember I wish I could attend an art university like them. Painting, pottery, sculpture, architecture, maybe there are more arts there I don't remember everything but, I remember it's very lovely to watch/read about various characters there, various art life.

Sen wa, Boku wo Egaku 線は、僕を描く

At the time (few years ago?) I start having interest in ink painting, I found this manga and was excited to read it. A quite short read, Sen wa, Boku wo Egaku is so lovely. My interest in ink painting also flourishes during and after reading this. Though I tend to like colors more, I also interested in learning sumi-e, someday.

Kuragehime 海月姫

JELLYFISH!! I was so excited when I found this manga, they're making jellyfish dress!! Aaaa so pretty ; A ; Kuragehime manga is very interesting, very fun to read. Various interesting and fun characters, also crossdresser (so pretty!). Thinking about this makes me want to reread it again >_<

These four mangas are heartwarming in their own ways and very interesting. I wish I can collect them in my future book-room (please come true sooner). I can see myself pick them to read from time to time, either for some doses of encouragement or just indulging in artsy fantasy.

It's been a year...!?

It's 7/7 today and I remember that my last post here was on last year tanabata day. I didn't realize it's been that long I haven't updated any, even though I did make some plans about what I want to write here. I still want to continue writing about my favorites, hope I can do it more, from this month let's go~!

Another year has passed and as I keep doing my hobbies (a bit too much), I have more favorites I want to write. Around the half-end of last year, I also found an essential lovely source that has been giving me energy to keep going, actually I want to write a bit about them this May but...>_< I will do it before a new year begins~!
