Overhaul's greatest mistake despite being better than Tomura at the start was being so no-nonsense and pretty evil it means both the villains and heroes hated him enough so he was be defeated by a thousand cuts.

I am not sure if you got this question yet but what would be the jobs for the Shie Hassaikai (Chronostasis, Mimic, and the Eight Bullets) if they weren’t yakuza/villains

Tengai-Priest: Tengai was a priest before he joined the Yakuza. So I guess he'd still be doing that if he wasn't a villain. Probably the most boring answer on this list, but the most true to canon.

Tabe-Professional Eater: It's a win win. Tabe can eat however much he wants without worrying about stealing food. And people get to benefit seeing him act like a human black hole for food.

Joi-Security Consultant: I imagine this work by Mimic possessing whatever you want him to protect. So if anyone tries to steal your super rare vase, it can literally sprout legs and runaway.

Katsukame-Anesthesiologist: I like to imagine Katsukame coming up to a patient, grabbing them, open his mouth, and then seemingly suck out their soul. Then they are out and ready to have their tonsils removed.

Deidoro-Party Goer: He's the guy you pay to come over to your party to make it fun. He shows up and then it is a proper party. He's making sure everyone is drunk and tispy withing seconds of him getting there.

Hojo-Male Model: Since there isn't much personality going on with him, I just thought this would be funny. Plus, I can imagine fashion designers going nuts with someone who can make crystals over any part of their body.

Rappa-MMA Fighter: About as close as you can get to a pit fighter without it being illegal. Because even when Rappa is given a chance at a normal life. He will choose violence every single time. At least he get's paid for it now.

Hari-Personal Assistant: Hari's personality just screams "lackie". I can't really see him doing anything that doesn't involve him helping another person. A PA just seems to be the most fitting for him considering who he works with.

Shin-Reality TV Host: Is the option to be a police officer right there? Yes. However, I think that Shin would find this line of work more satisfying. Stirring the pot by forcing terrible people to tell the truth on national television would be grimm lesson about honesty.

Toya-Trophy Husband: Look, I just feel really bad about Toya's backstory. So I want to take this chance to give him some kind of happiness. He gets to be a trophy husband to rich successful wife. Preferably Mount Lady to fuel the crack ship.

Shie Hassakai Age Headcanons

I thought it would be fun to share more hcs, these are a little less based in canon than the heights one. The ages too are based on the raid arc to make it simple

Kinda long and wordy where I go into the reasons for them

- Nemoto: 38, but I could see him in his 40s.

I see him as a Capricorn, with his birthday being early January (idk about deciding an exact day lol)

- Sakaki: 33-34

February birthday so amethyst (which back then was thought to prevent intoxication) would be his birthstone

- Katsukame: 24

This is based on one of the character guides that I think described as him as being like a younger brother to Overhaul

- Overhaul: canonically was 27 during the arc

-Chronostatis: 28-29.

His birthday is also just a couple of days after Eri’s, so Overhaul can ignore both of theirs at the same time

- Hojo: 30

June birthday which usually is correlated with a non crystal birthstone, pearl, just to be ironic

- Setsuno: 25

He’s prob a Cancer too so summer birthday

- Tabe: 22

Idk it would be kinda cute if as the youngest member, he’d follow the others around and listen to their advice no matter how bad

- Tengai: 29

I like the idea of him actually being pretty young and inexperienced, and everyone else just assumes he’s a lot older and wiser than he really is

- Rappa: 28

Based this one off of his vigilantes appearance and assuming he was just slightly older than Mirko

- Mimic: Like mid forties, he’s way older than everyone else but they all forget cause of his ridiculous muppet form. He prob doesn’t care though since I’d imagine him being more secretive about his exact age/most personal stuff

Also hc timeline for when each member joined

Katsukame: again based on what the character guide book said, he would have already knew Chisaki since childhood

~6 years prior to the Shie Hassakai arc

Nemoto: Techincally the first bullet to officially join, since Rikiya was always around

Hojo: Joined pretty close after Shin, though they remained fairly distant

~5 years prior

Rappa: Since Rikiya and Rappa both fulfill similar roles of ‘strong guys who punches things’ (even Yu to an extent), I can see that maybe in the beginning Overhaul was trying to recruit a lot of big muscle power to really intimate others. But once he realized how much of a pain in the ass Rappa was, he started looking for more diversity

~4.5 years prior

Setsuno & Tabe: They both were prob joined within a few months of each other. Overhaul would have started to really get his hands full and have less time to focus on new recruits, so he just handed them over to Yu to be trained

~3 years prior

Sakaki: I like to think he already was already apart of the Yakuza for a while and got immediately paired up with Shin due to both being the most experienced

~1 and half prior to the arc

Tengai: It was stated in one of the extras that he was the final member to join. But sort of going with the idea that Overhaul used Hojo to look after the two new guys, and later Nemoto with Sakaki, he probably was hoping he could recreate this dynamic a third time with Rappa. This obviously failed tho since not only was Rappa annoyed about suddenly having a new leash around him, but cause Chisaki stopped trying to get the right personalities that meshed and was just relying on Tengai using brute force to stop him. (Ik we never really got a good look into how specifically Shin and Dei were able to coordinated well together but I also have a ton of thoughts on that)

Since Irinaka wasn’t actually apart of the Bullets, I can see him maybe joining through Pops instead, and he just happened to be one of the few ‘original’ members of the Shir Hassaikai to actually supported overhaul’s ideals
