I am pumped for sooooo many things season 7 but I am so excited for the Rayla and Soren face off.

Presumably, Soren has the full context for who Runaan is to Rayla at this stage. I have to assume he knows Runaan is not merely the leader of the assasins to her. He's her father, the man who raised her.

And that has to smart with him, right? Soren spent the past few seasons and season 6 in particular, grappling with his father and who was.

Rayla was raised as a solider too. Unlike Soren who's role primarily was protection, Rayla was raised as an assassin. Raised to kill.

And here's the man who raised her like that. The killer, in Soren's eyes.

And Rayla is defending him? Fighting against her friends for him?

How does she make Soren understand that, with his background? How does she get him to understand that, yes, this man killed Callum and Ezran's father, was going to kill Ezran too... and yet she still loves him and wants to protect him.

Especially considering Soren was clearly willing to kill his own father to protect Ezran.

I absolutely adore how their friendship has developed over the seasons, and I am soooo excited to see them try and hurt each other.

Inspired by @raayllum's fic-athon back in October, I introduce to you... The Review Fic-Athon 2.0!!

Now if you didn't participate in their's, lemme explain. Through this little fandom event you can get ficlets in return for writing reviews on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes! Most episodes and seasons have a surprisingly low number of reviews and it's an easy way to boost the show's rating on Netflix. Anything for Arc Three, amirite or amirite?

I'll be using the same rules as Raayllum's previous fic-athon, so here's how it works.

✩ Rotten Tomatoes: you can't review individual episodes, only seasons. So if you review all 7 seasons you get 1 ficlet, written by yours truly!

✩ IMDB: you actually do review the individual episodes, so for each season's worth of episodes you review you get 1 ficlet.

Making the show trend on IMDB or giving it higher Rotten Tomatoes ratings will make people more likely to see it, and therefore more likely to binge the show! Which is super vital to us getting Arc Three, especially in the first 28 days after the show's release. And even if there is an episode / season you're not as big a fan of, giving them all the same 5 star treatment (or 10 star, on IMDB) can really help boost the show's rating. #anythingforthesaga!

Callum: Yeah, you're right, that's not really his style.

------2 seasons later...-------

Soren: So, things are tense.

Rayla: Yeah. Great evil about to be unleashed, potential end of the world and all that.

Soren: I meant with you and Callum.

Rayla: - Nope. We are not talking about this.

Soren: Look, when you left, it hurt him bad. Real bad. He was miserable. And now you're back. That's kind of good, and it's kind of bad. But it's mostly just weird. And one thing I always say: sometimes you need time to work through the weird. And then it'll work out. Or not. The heart do what it do,or don't what it don't.

AKA Soren goes from Rayla and Callum saying he's thoughtless, insensitive, not protect-y kind of guy to actually becoming a thoughtful, sensitive, feelings-y, protect-y kind of guy.

And that group hug at the end of "Ocean" said it all
