Who: Iniko Laveau (mentions of Adina Laveau and Misha)
What: Desperate to see her aunt once again, Iniko tried to contact Adina barely knowing that by doing so, she reached a different witch, one that piece by piece gained control over Iniko’s body.
When: One night before the Mabon Festival.
She was there, right within Iniko's mind, luring Iniko into thinking like her, accepting her words, accepting her wisdom, barely knowing that by letting this witch in, Iniko was losing heself. If only she'd known that the person she was speaking to wasn't her beloved aunt, maybe Iniko would've had salvation. But it was too late to find a solution to her mistakes, there was nothin she could do to change her fate. And how would she know that her worst nightmare wasn’t and would never be just a dream?
There were a few details that were easy to retain within her memory while her dark hues stared at the vision of a witch who were far from being Adina Laveau, her dear aunt. The clock ticking and letting Iniko aware that as time passed she was slowly losing her own self, growing weaker, unable to defend herself from the woman who was so eager to gain control over Iniko's body. Powerless, like the bulb light flickering in the following room that had kept her gaze on it for longer than it should. No one could save her. Not even herself. Why?
Inside of Iniko's mind, she screamed that it was impossible. It was impossible that throughout this time, the person who had been talking to Iniko, mesmerizing her with words and their knowledge wasn't the person she had searched for. Her blood and family was far from being the witch who had tricked Iniko. Impossible. Impossible. This is impossible.
But it isn't, dear. It's far from being impossible. Of course, Adina is a beloved friend of mine, one that gave me the opportunity of fighting by her side and I mean no harm to you, well, to your body. She would never be the witch who could make you stronger, who could make you understand Adrasteia should return and now... here we are. And while you may not be able to control yourself, I'll allow you to be in there, watching as we'll conquer Moon Island together. A price to be paid that will bring ood consequences to us all. And I could say I'm sorry, but I'm not. I could never trust you to leader this coven, not when Castalia herself had been a disappointment. I won't make the same mistake of believing someone else as a leader.
“Don’t do this.” Iniko said. It frustrated her that she felt stuck, that she was unable to attack Misha, to take her back to the veil – a place she should’ve never left. There was nothing she could do to defeat Misha, but she could try to share her point of view hoping Misha would accept it and stop her plan from possessing Iniko’s body.
If only Iniko could begin to understand the witch she was talking to. Iniko hated the other coven just as much as Misha did, or that was what Iniko was trying to believe in. It was far from that. During all of those years Misha went through a war, all of those years living across the veil, watching as Bricket Wood and Adrasteia joined forced and became one, she became more frustrated, anger, wanting revenge. Misha didn’t have a good reputation before, but it was because no one could understand her. And now, by becoming someone else, she could make them aware that she was the best leader Moon Island could’ve asked for. “I’ll do anything you’d like me to, Misha. After all this time don’t you think...”
I would listen to you. Her last words came out of her mouth differently, and it was only then that Iniko noticed she no longer could speak, she no longer could move herself, she felt trapped inside of herself. Unable to do anything, while desperation was taking over her own self, Iniko could still notice her body moving, her hands slowly being lifted up to touch her hair. Actions that weren’t commanded by Iniko, but actions that came from the new witch living inside of Iniko’s body.
Misha was there, before Iniko could pledge to something different, Misha had already taken control over the woman’s body. And it didn’t matter if Iniko tried to scream, to find a way out of wherever she was, at that moment, it was pointless. Because she no longer was the most powerful being within her own mind. “I would never believe you’d do everything as I said, Iniko. So I will. It’s my turn to win. And we’ll win as one.”
TASK 002 → “You learned to run from what you feel, and that's why you have nightmares.”
Everyone has fears, regrets, guilt– something that keeps them up at night. The small voice that whispers in the daylight, but growls and hisses in the darkness. Dreams– this is when you are the weakest, when your guard is lowered and the demons leer their ugly heads out to play. These recurring nightmares are something of another kind, so vivid that it leaves your body in cold sweat and ragged breath. What kind of nightmares does your character have?
