Weekly Progress Check - April 10, 2015 They weren't kidding when they said this is where it gets harder. I have 6 or 7 pounds to go to 100 pounds lost (depending on the scale - I weigh in with my trainer and for our workplace weight loss challenge on Thursdays) and they are holding on for dear life. I'm working on the diet and it is hard. I'm hitting my targets but eating too much too late. I cut back on coffee because it was negatively impacting my digestive system. I started retaking my Juice Plus supplements. I'm hoping it will pay off eventually. But it is important to celebrate victories. Yesterday I burned above my calorie target. I don't know that I've ever done that! It was kind of amazing to realize. Of course, I worked out for 2.5 hours yesterday. This is not something I will be able to do daily ... BUT I now know I am capable of doing it. It's not something I could have done a year ago. Speaking of which ... last year I tried spinning and my experience was not great. It hurt A LOT. I couldn't stand up on the bike. I could barely walk down the stairs after. I vowed never again. Well, almost exactly a year later I decided to give it another go at the encouragement of a member of the fit fam. What a difference a year makes! Not only was I surprised when class was over, I was able to keep up for the most part. My strength and endurance are light years ahead of where they were a year ago and that is amazing. That is worth continuing on.
