hot for teacher was an expression he’d heard many times back when he first knew the man that stood across from him now. not much had changed about him, and donovan’s eyes shone as he darted across leon’s face. he recalled the expression being uttered in a joking tone by colleagues and other students on campus alike. he though it was safe to say the two of them gave it a little more meaning. maybe some of his former peers would say it was a step down to be working at votive, but donovan didn’t see much difference as far as skill level was concerned. it took a great deal of talent for those on the stage, and infinite creativity and patience on his part to direct them--not much different from the students back at university.
“my, my how small the world has grown,” the director muttered more to himself. “I never thought I’d see you again.” he imagined the younger man would have preferred it that way, but it seemed their paths were destined to cross once more.
