Even if this sort of thing had an age limit, Genevieve wouldn't care. But, she decides after seeing her daughter's post on Instagram (which she now has) that she may as well pop to Central Park to see what the fuss is all about. "There you are." Gen appears as if from nowhere, a ghostly Tobias at her side who bounds quickly to Arlo to boop noses. "God, you look beautiful, Clo. Love this shirt." she sighs at the sight of her girl before wiggling her shoulders excitedly. "Are you having fun? I thought I'd come and see what Outlaw Blues means." the mother leans to give Chloe a greeting kiss on the cheek but pulls away with a laugh. "Don't worry, I know what that look is." Gen points to her daughter's expression. "I won't ruin your credit, no one will even know I'm here but I wanted to say hello. I'll just stay at the back and start some Mexican waves."

Question:

I’m not sure if you were asked, but would you have sacrificed Arcadia Bay or Chloe in the first gameplay? 👀

Ahh.. the tough question. For context I have not experienced the game in it's full glory (by that I mean actually playing it myself), I've just watched others play it. But for me, even though it'd pain me tremendously to sacrifice someone I love, I do things based on a moral standpoint. And so, don't hate me for it, but I'd save the town. (However I respect the decision of people who'd choose otherwise & I not necessarily saying that that is the less moral choice) Just like how I don't really approve of Joel's decision at the end of The Last of Us 🥲

A few reasons though,

1. It's what they wanted / are prepared for. Chloe or Ellie, they knew that they're going to sacrifice their lives. Chloe realised that her mother and even her step father don't deserve this. So I guess it's not as tough as choosing if they get to live or not without them even being aware (like the train dilemma)

2. Not taking who'd survive from hindsight, the people in town, they might have their Chloe/Rachel/Max who love them so much and wouldn't want them dead. So pushing personal emotions aside, the weighing scale is definitely heavier on the other side.

3. I believe in reincarnation! So Chloe would've been reborn, maybe even reunite with Rachel...

But usually in situations like this, I'd very much prefer to sacrifice myself if that means everyone else's safe & sound. Or even better, try to save everyone 😭 even though in this case it's not possible.

What if it's Rachel?

I did ponder what I'd do if Rachel Amber, my favourite broken girl, is placed in this situation instead. It's likely that I'd cry and get emotionally damaged and struggle... but still choose the town. Idk I tend to stick to a moral boundary...
