I don't normally talk about this because it's technically a roblox game, and most folk immediately dismiss it thanks to that, but I genuinely am enthralled by it and believe it is so much more. So I'm gonna rant about it. Lovingly.
It's a whimsical (though dark at times, it's based on Greek mythos & one piece at the same time lmao what did you expect) RPG set in a world ravaged by magic pollution because instead of just giving us fire, Prometheus went above and beyond, giving Man fucking magic. Like a lot of it. Until eventually traditional magic, which consumed life force and made your lifespan significantly shorter, died out in favour of magic circles, a technique where you get weaker spells, but also *don't* kill yourself slowly by using it. Oh also all (most of? I forgor) the gods are dead btw, far as I know.
Yeah. I forget who, but some really powerful mortal just strolled into Olympus and killed half of them before forcing Poseidon to, at swordpoint, make these things called Sea Curses, which are cubes of raw magic energy that you permanently absorb the powers of after touching, also making you immortal, with basically all the drawbacks of a devil fruit from One Piece. He then killed Poseidon afterwards btw.
That's about all the historical lore I know, this shit is wild, I love it, it deserves to be its own game so that Vetex (the dev) can make money off this beautiful thing without being scammed out of it all by Roblox.
Oh yeah and the gameplay? Oh boy..
You can make your own moves. Crank up or down stats on a spell or design your own martial arts, build a ship and crew from the ground up, and use them to hunt bounties, assassinate people for being too nice, raze entire kingdoms to the ground, or save them.
Main story is also surprisingly fleshed-out as well. Don't want to spoil too much, but the only complaint I have with about 300hrs in the game is FUCK LADY CARINA, WHY ARE YOU HEALING 7 HP PER SECOND AND HOW DO YOU DODGE THAT QUICK WHAT IN THE ACTUAL-
Ahem. This is a bit longer than I intended it to be so I'll wrap up soon. Last thing I wanna share is some screenshots of my character, cos I originally was just gonna make a post of that but felt it'd be a disgrace to leave y'all in the dark about this game. Maybe I went a bit overboard but oh well.
Update: I wrote this the other day and saved it as a draft. Just now came back to it, I beat General Argos while like 10 levels beneath the recommendation yesterday and got this lit af camera angle after the fight

(Words of affirmation) I can like shows normally. I don’t need to obsess over shows and feel empty when I’m not consuming content about them. I can continue doing my school work normally without drawing characters from the show in my notes as if they’re explaining it to me.
