Turn it Off
I've been watching Avatar the Last Airbender since it's original debut on TV and was always so excited when they'd replay it.
It seems every few years there's a resurgence of people who are either coming back to the show or finding it for the first time and it always brings such fun.
When I watched it as a kid I didn't understand that Aang and Katara were love interests until it was blatantly explained on screen and I just accepted it as fact. (Side note: I didn't have trouble understanding the relationship between Jet and Katara, Sokka and Yue, or Sokka and Suki)
When I watched it a bunch in middle school everyone was going off about Zutara (Zuko and Katara)and how the chemistry was there. I couldn't disagree really, so I hopped on the band wagon. (There was also Aang and Zuko which I really liked because they're each other's foil but I didn't really have anyone to talk to about gay stuffs so it got left in the dark.)
Towards the end of highschool I noticed that it was popular online again and the newest ship that everyone was talking about was Zukka (Zuko and Sokka). THIS is the best ship to ever come to my attention. I can't get over it. It's just so lovely.
I mean, I'm also a lover of the whole gang is a polycule trope. It makes me happy.
What was this post going to be about again? I feel like I got de-railed...
Life Series Lore Thoughts...
I'm sure I'm not the only one to think this but it is so wild to me that the same season where Jimmy breaks the Canary Curse is the one that Scar wins.
Like it's a sign.
Imagine if the series eneded here. (I would be so sad but the L O R E)
In Third Life, it came down to Grian VS Scar and Grian won. Perhaps it was always supposed to be Scar who was to win. Jimmy dying first was the sign that things were going to end "wrong". Something in the season happened to tell the watchers that Scar would not come out victorious, and so they made Jim die. Over and over again.
...
On the other hand, perhaps Jim's death is still a warning even after the initial curse has been broken. The watchers trying to influence a specific chain of events that starts with his death.

I've been thinking about the Welcome Home Halloween update stuff and what it really told me is that the neighbors don't actually like each other all that much.
Sally is a diva, I get it, but also... she seems particularly hard on Eddie. What did he ever do to her? He was the ONLY one who knew her Halloween costume yet she couldn't even be bothered to give him a fancy incorrect name! She's kinda rude to everyone, again, I get that she's a diva, but it feels odd to me.
Barnaby also doesn't get along with the neighbors very well, only with Wally and Home that I can easily recall. Oh, and Howdy.
It seems like the friendly neighborhood might have some, for lack of a better term, "bad blood" in it.
Turning Red ⚠️👇SPOILERS BELOW 👇⚠️
I can already hear all the rebuttals against any of the cast being queer. "But they all were gushing over boys!" So they're not lesbians, doesn't mean they're not queer. It's not just straight and gay. Bisexual. Omnisexual. Pansexual. Polysexual. And guess what ... MORE!
Plus they are still kids. Who says it's any kind of sexual attraction??? Much more likely to be romantic, platonic, and aesthetic attraction!
But if y'all are really gonna look at the way Miriam interacts with Mei and call it straight then that's your big bucket of denial and I want no part in it.
