It’s been a few years since I’ve been a high school language teacher. But one of my last years I had this great student, smart, funny, goal oriented, great all around kid. Well she graduated today. Her family asked my mom and me to make her collar, cuffs and Mocs to match her graduation outfit. I don’t take orders, like ever. My wait list is yearssssss long. But this young woman is strong, a role model for our community and volunteers her time when home to coach youth lacrosse when she’s not playing for her own university team. Without a doubt I knew I had to make her Mocs.
