Not sure if this is a hot take but,
Kagami is a Hufflepuff
Her main goal outside of what her family wants for her is to make friends and keep friends
There’s more to it than that but that’s what it keeps coming down to

TGS Hogwarts Houses
I’ve seen a lot of stuff about this and would like to contribute with my opinion
So: Presenting: TGS Characters at Hogwarts
P.T. Barnum: Slytherin. Just like everyone else has said. He is 100% a Slytherin- his ambition and desire to get to the top, but also the desire to defend his family shows that perfectly. But he is not the Draco Malfoy-type- he is accepting and kind and doesn’t subscribe to the elitist ideals that some members of Slytherin hold, even if his ambition makes him kind of an asshole sometimes (also i adore the headcanon that he’s a Slytherin that likes red better than green)
Phillip Carlyle: HUFFLEPUFFHUFFLEPUFFHUFFLEPUFF 100 FUCKING PERCENT- what he does for the circus and for Anne lends itself to hufflepuff perfectly, I mean, he runs back into that goddamn burning building to save the woman he loves, gets into fistfights for his circus squad, and uses his own money to save the place he’s so fond of. And I saw somewhere that he could be a slytherin, and while i completely and totally understand where that’s coming from, let me present an alternate train of thought- he grew up in a family of Slytherins akin to the Malfoys(which tbh he did lets be honest)- mistreated and conditioned to believe that all other wizards are invalid- so of COURSE that would influence his actions and kind of make him act like a slytherin- then he gets sorted into hufflepuff and realizes how much of a hufflepuff he is.
Anne Wheeler: Gryffindor, but a Gryffindor who truly doesn’t realize how brave she can be- she’s already courageous beyond belief, but when she meets her Hufflepuff ™ boyfriend who is ready to burn the world for her, she realizes how much courage she actually has
W.D. Wheeler: I’ve always thought of, and written, W.D. as the observant, calculating, extremely intelligent type, which makes him a good candidate for Ravenclaw. But he’s not all head and no heart
Charity Barnum: Gryffindor, though an argument can definitely be made for Hufflepuff
Lettie Lutz: Gryffindor. Need I say more?
Caroline Barnum: Also a Gryffindor
Helen Barnum is 100% my little hufflepuff and y’all can fight me on this
Jenny Lind is a tough one to sort to be honest- I think an argument could be made for both slytherin and ravenclaw- I personally think she is a slytherin and let me present my argument: Jenny has ambition, for absolute certain: First, as a young woman, to rise above the poverty, then, to erase the shame of being born outside of marriage, and finally to get with Barnum. And she tries to use her talent to get all of that, reacting very negatively when it blows up in her face. And her revenge/teaching Barnum a lesson? I feel as though that’s a very slytherin thing to do- he breaks her heart? She’ll destroy his reputation and his marriage, the things she knows that matter the most to him.
James Gordon Bennet: The equivalent of Rita fucking skeeter, but even more boring (the worst)
This has been my TED talk- feel free to fight about this in the comments and leave your opinion because i feel like there are a L O T of interesting arguments to be made for some of these characters
Sorting Hat Headcanons for the Pericles Family
Thaisa is the easiest to sort. Her undying loyalty to her husband and her kind nature show her to be a Hufflepuff through-and-through.
At first glance, Pericles seems like a Gryffindor; after all, surviving all of his hardships takes a lot of courage. What strikes me more about him, though, is the unwavering determination to protect his people he expresses in his monologues in I.ii. He, too, is a Hufflepuff.
Marina is the hardest to sort. She shows qualities from more than one House. Her quick wit and thorough learning suggest Ravenclaw; while her endurance suggest the courage of a Gryffindor. There’s an argument to be made for Hufflepuff-like qualities in her loyalty to her father’s memories. A performance could emphasize any of these qualities. Ultimately, I think Marina would make a great Slytherin. Her ambition doesn’t manifest itself in political goals, but it does in the way she smoothly talks her way out of the brothel and into relative safety.
Bonus: “In Helicanus may you well descry / A figure of truth, of faith, of loyalty” (V.iii). A true Hufflepuff if I’ve ever heard of one.
kishi pls make a hogwarts au cover
and show people that sakura haruno is an ACTUAL GRYFFINDOR KNIGHT PRINCESS, not a ravenclaw.
sasuke is a gryffinpuff. least slytherin of all tbh.
i don't care for nardo so no sorting hat for him.
obito is a squib. or a snape.
Headcanon: The sorting hat sorts students by finding out what house they really want to be in. Simply asking students to choose a house wouldn't work because they might choose the house their parents want them to be in (I could totally see Amos Diggory advising Cedric against Hufflepuff and Cedric, being the sweet Hufflepuff that he is, trying to be a good son and going along with it), or the house they've convinced themselves is the right one (Hermione would have spent the whole summer calculating the pros and cons of each house and placed herself in Ravenclaw. You know she would have). The Sorting Hat finds out where, deep down, they really want to be.
