I hate that Stan Pines's character is definitely somewhat inspired by PT Barnum, because what do you mean one of my favorite characters is inspired by the bigoted conman I have one sided parasocial beef with for being an asshole and one of the biggest faces in circus history???

That fucking monkey fish in the Mystery Shack is DEFINITELY a reference to Barnum's fucking fiji mermaid scandal. I hate it here. I hate PT Barnum. Why does he have to infest everything I love? First he makes himself the face of circus history, and then he makes himself the main character of my #1 comfort movie, and now this shit. God, I hate him.

in the movies logan is over 200 years old, which would place his birth around the 1810s 1820s. the greatest showman takes place in the 1850s 1860s, and pt barnum was born in the 1810s
