Okay FUCK IT I’m not done talking about Matt Sorum’s book

1) Duff is scared of Axl?? Hmmm...that don’t add up b/c Duff has talked about how they text all the time? Not in a story-telling way either, just casually mentioning in interviews. And Duff is so scared he has a panic attack b/c of AXL?? Are you sure it’s not b/c you’re confronting him and trying to get him to have you join the reunion MATT??? How about instead of forcing Duff to talk to Axl about you, YOU TALK TO AXL. You work through the management to figure out how to be a part of GNR. Stop putting so much pressure on Duff.

2) Matthew, you need to have a separation between friendship and business. You are not owed anything b/c you are friends with someone. This is about more than that, it’s a whole-ass MACHINE. With so many people, and a lot of money. Trash talking Slash b/c he knows the business makes you look bad. Confronting Slash & Duff b/c you think they owe you work due to friendship makes YOU look unprofessional. If they are working through the management and lawyers, you can’t go up to your bandmates like “bUT WE’re FRieNDs!!!!” to get what you want. You have to use the management & lawyers too. It’s a fucking professional business, be a professional.

3) You understood that Duff & Slash are passive people, but instead of working with that you became aggressive/emotional?? And you want them to be more forward with you?? Like if you act that emotionally when they are passive, what do you think they’re going to think if they become more blunt? I would be too scared to be more aggressive towards you if that’s how you act when I’m passive, I would think you’d fucking fight me if I was more forward. I’m assuming Duff & Slash would be the same. You want them to be more blunt? Sit them down and say:  “Hey man, I know I get pretty emotional when you guys are so passive, but that’s only b/c it’s frustrating to me since I’m more forward. But if you’re blunt with me I’ll act in a more respectable manner. Could you do that for me?”  You can’t expect people to magically change for you. You have to ask. And if you don’t want to do that, work with where they are now.
