man I don't even know where to start with this course. was in my first year and took it with Lee Wiggins. she is a very kind woman and is definitely very knowledgeable HOWEVER she speaks in such a monotone voice i couldn't comprehend what she was saying. her lectures are boring and long. it would literally take her three weeks to get through one lecture because of all the unnecessary information she would add. i probably showed up to only 3 lectures in the winter term. this course is HEAVY in LONG readings. if you take this course make sure you make notes on the readings because the exams are heavily based on them. there is literally assignment after assignment (which aren't graded easily), you'll never catch a break. even my TA said that with the amount of work in this course it's nowhere near a first year level course. I managed to do well in the course but I genuinely think its only because my TA liked me. plus side is that you'll learn a lot and improve your academic writing skills. make sure to become friends with people in your tutorial so you can all struggle together lol
