Hekáte, my Queen, Mother of All,
I sign your praise and make offerings of garlic and honey.
Goddess Soteira, ruler of Witchcraft,
I ask You know me, hear me, and grant my requests tonight.

About Proserpina
Proserpina is many things, many names and many faces: Soteira is one of them. For years Her stories have been swallowed up and/or rewritten, being pinned under those of what many call Her counterpart, Persephone. Do not make the mistake of confusing the two.
Her name, meaning "to crawl" or "to creep" has led few many of us to believe some of Her earlier myths were of a serpentine origin, connecting Her to snakes and making Her a snake goddess. Proserpere means "to crawl forward". She is also very much independent of Ceres, prior to the classical merging with Demeter and Persephone. She is an herbalist, a Shaman, a Healer, a Priestess of the Highest, a Maverick, a Sovereign, a Psychopomp...the list goes on.
She may walk in similar energies of Hekate, Angitia, Diana, Angerona, Persephone, Libera, Artemis, Circe, Kore (the OG, not just the term 'maiden') and others, but Her signature is unique. And not all will understand that. One need only glance at how little of Her remains today outside of Persephone to see that.
Ways to Honour Her
If you are wanting to honor Her cyclically, the 1st of every month with heavy emphasis on April 1st - She is that secret deity, holding a fish in Her arms with a key in its mouth. In plain sight. Other days are the: 3rd, 7th, 9th, 13th, 27th and 29th of every month. Herbal allies are Rue, Thyme, Olive, Motherwort, Mugwort, Pomegranate, and Rose. Animal allies are, of course, snakes, owls (particularly barn owls), hounds (definitely Borzois), bears, fish, corvids, and wolves. Her time is nighttime, so working during the lunar hours are favored.***
***NOTE. A lot of the information here comes from my own personal practice with Her, as well as research AND what is channeled directly as She pours into me.
All artwork here is my own.

'Soter derives from the Greek epithet σωτήρ (sōtēr), meaning a saviour, a deliverer; initial capitalised Σωτήρ; fully capitalised ΣΩΤΗΡ; feminine Soteira (Σώτειρα) or sometimes Soteria (Σωτηρία).'
(also small translator note: i know there's already a translation for this song in the video but it didn't include translations for the text that appears in certain frames; those will be after the song lyrics under the cut)
(also, different interpretations of song lyrics are fun.)

Hekatean yuletide 30-31/12
30 December - The pride of living, Hekate Pasikrateia
We are architects and responsible for our actions and their consequences in life. Those are our "business cards" to show to Hekate, everything that we have been through, and are capable of.
We were born blessed with self-sufficiency. We fight, learn and find our place without having to beg or implore anyone. Tonight, we just need to remember that Hekate is pleased by our pledged fealty to Her.
But She as Queen doesn’t want us to kneel down but stand up for what we are and live for.
31 December - The oath, Hekate Soteira.
Today we finish the 12 days. It is the night of the great banquet, of the promises after having reviewed the most crucial aspects of our life these past days. We learn from experience and forge our own wisdom to grow and understand the world we have lived in, and the years that remain in the thread of our life.
We will lift our horn/cup/chalice/glass for our ancestors for our family. We also lift it for Hekate the Cosmic Soul, and the promises, the oaths that we have made after all the meditations of the past few days. And we will say it in our mind and soul. Spoken words can be manipulated by other people, but silent oaths are protected by our souls and powered by our ancestors.
Before the night’s end, consult the runes, tarot, oracle or any divination form you prefer for the omens to come until summer. If possible, have someone consult them for you. May Hekate always be witnesses of your achievements.

Hey!! My towns name is soteira and I'm hoping to get a flag if you're up for it! I know this is gonna sound incredibly odd, and it's understandable if you aren't willing to accept, but I was thinking like. An angelic horse? Somethin like that, since my town has largely horse villagers. Have a nice day!
I also added the rose for you ;)
