Alright I think I have it figured out. His title is "Special Investigator" because he's not technically and FBI agent because he doesn't have the proper training or certification (mostly the certification because he used to be a field operative). "Profiler" comes in because that's the actual work he does, it's less official. Like, if it was on a name-tag I imagine his title would read "Special Agent" in big bold letters and "Profiler" beneath it in smaller letters, maybe in italics or something.
That seems to make sense!I find it all a bit confusing with all these titles and ranks and everything. :D
sothats-who answered your question: Help?
In the show Jack introduced him/he introduced himself as “Special Agent"
Are you sure? I thought it was "Special Investigator"? (At least it is in the first episode.)
I think a lot of people say "Mads" because that's how it looks, but pronounced in the native language it sounds just like "mass." I've always pronounced Dancy like how an American would say "dancey," but that could just be because I'm American. Since the line between an English and American accent is so thin, I don't think it matters too much
I think I'll just go through some interviews later to be 100% sure. :)
Thank you! <3
Caroline: "Her first name is pronounced kah-ro-Lean because of her French-Canadian heritage. Her last name is roughly pronounced dah-vair-NAH." As for Mads, it's pronounced like "mass" and Mikkelsen is pronounced how it looks.
Then I think I’m doing it right now! Thank you! :)I used to pronounce Caroline’s name in the English way and then yesterday I heard someone pronounce it French but that person wasn’t entirely sure if it was right, so I was confused…And somewhere it was said that you pronounce Mads without the d but I hear people saying ‘Mads’ in interviews all the time. I think it’s with a long a and without the d? Is that right? And is Dancy with a long or a short a? I thought it had to be like in the British word ‘dance’ but in interviews it sounded more like a short a, but those were American interviews so I still don’t know if it’s pronounced like that or if they are pronouncing it wrong?
