Pettigrew family rambles

Picrews first, again in no particular order.
In order: Enid, Lola, Peter, Catherine, Evelyn. Funny how Peter ended up the big picture in the middle lol. I still have no clue how Tumblr orders photos.
Enid is Peter's sister. She's about six and a half years older than him, and was a 7th year when Peter started Hogwarts. Apparently, in some of Rowling's early notes, Enid Pettigrew was considered as a potential DADA or divination professor, but the character was ultimately scrapped entirely, so now she's mine.
Enid is a bisexual disaster, and she briefly dated Narcissa in her sixth (Narcissa's fifth) year because I said so. The name Enid means soul so I am calling them soulflower. She was head girl in her seventh year. Also, in tribute her original possibilities in canon, her best subjects were DADA and divination, AND she eventually went back to Hogwarts and taught DADA for the Marauders' sixth year. However, the jinx on the position was already in place by that point, so she didn't return for their seventh year because she had gotten pregnant over Christmas break. More on that in a bit.
Lola is Peter's mother. And I feel like I do not have nearly enough thoughts on her. Uhh she taught Peter how to sew. That's fun.
And his grandmas!! Catherine is Lola's mom and Evelyn is Catherine's wife! And honestly I could probably write a whole oneshot at least just about them because you wanna know how they met? Evelyn was Catherine's DIVORCE LAWYER. Yeah.
Anyways, speaking of the divorce that brings us to the asshole husbands aka the reason Peter is the only male in the household.
Yeah, Catherine, Lola, and Enid all had shitty husbands at some point. This is where the content warnings come in.
First, Catherine's husband was verbally and occasionally physically abusive to her, and very neglectful to their child(ren? I haven't decided yet if m going to give Lola any siblings). Catherine didn't do anything about the situation.
Until, eventually, Lola gets married, and gets the same treatment from her husband. Catherine sees how her daughter is being treated and his horrified. She brings it up to Lola, who doesn't see any problem because that's what her father is like.
And Catherine realizes she's right. So she divorces her husband, both for her own sake and in the hope of convincing Lola to do the same.
It works. The whole process takes a long time, but it works.
... And then Enid falls into the same trap. She's young, she thinks she's being rebellious and cool, dating a "bad boy." She had romanticized forbidden relationships for a while, and so her mother's and grandmother's disapproval only encouraged her to pursue the relationship. Enid's boyfriend (and eventual husband) used this to his advantage in isolating her.
And then Enid takes the DADA position at Hogwarts. And her husband is not happy about her being gone for so long. When she returns home for Christmas, he replaces her contraceptive potions with water, and she gets pregnant. Furthermore, he gets even more controlling.
She eventually divorces him, moving back in with her family. After a lot of deliberation she decided to keep the baby.
Anyways, that was heavy. I really wanted to end this on a happier note, but I can't think of anything else to say. So uhhh ask me questions about happy Pettigrews. Please.
