10. What energizes and drains them most?
growth & the past. he enjoyed seeing the world expand, grow more knowledgeable, & stronger. on a personal level the mastery of a technique or miracle felt electric. in a universal respect it allowed him to ponder what could come thereafter, his eyes focused forth like a predator in nature. in a betraying irony is his distaste for the past. feeling himself fall further each day with each time the thought of his father’s actions, personal faults, & ultimatums leaving his mind wavering and weakened.
21. What kind of relationships do they tend to intentionally seek out versus actually cultivate? What kind of social contact do they prefer, and why?
the heir, subconsciously, seeks out relationships that can give him definition. he knows who he is & seeing as many do not he will have a tendency to avoid himself. wishing for others to evaluate him without any prior knowledge. when he makes an effort he is quick to cultivate something resembling a mutual understanding & competition. finding those with whom he can compete compelling— something he hasn’t experienced in ages. each challenger sparks this flame but, ultimately, is doomed to fall unless they truly are worth his time.
in his time as first-born he likely had little time for his own emotions. standing at the side of father when he made declarations, public appearances, aided in raising the humans beneath him, and so on. he does well in such things, parties & the like, but only for the sake of the aforementioned— appearances sake. in earnest he much prefers an environment exposed to the elements with only on singular companion, or a select group with whom his trust is infinite.
