         “Whoa!!!” {/Did…did that boy just turn into a scythe? Nicole could only stare in wonder as Maka and her partner stood in front of her. She knew not what was going on, or why that monster was even going near her. Okay, that was a lie. She knew why they were there. Having them around was a huge help. Nicole wasn’t one much for fighting, she was more of a defender and a healer. Let the professionals do all the fighting, yeah?

          She jumped back when the creature lunged, instantly her hands go over her head to defend herself and put up a barrier. It wasn’t impenetrable, but it would certainly withstand a lot of force if she needed it to. Nicole couldn’t watch, but yet, she had to. She had to make sure that Maka and her partner were okay. She swears she hears the name ‘Soul’. But that could have just been all the blood rushing to her head from anxiety and panic.

          Looking up, she sees Maka get thrown skyward. Neither she nor her partner could survive a fall like that if they landed wrong, and Nicole didn’t want to take any risks. In a quick, panicked rush, she creates a current of air strong enough to slow her fall and cushion it so she wouldn’t hurt herself upon descent and landing. It wasn’t ideal, and she could have probably done a multitude of things differently to help her landing other than slowing it, but it was all she could do quickly enough. Force creating a barrier to catch her could have been a hard landing. And stopping gravity was way too much effort and wouldn’t have been fast enough. This was all she could do on a short notice.

          At last when they were on the ground, and rushed back at the enemy, Nicole could let loose a small sigh of relief. At least they were safe now. Kind of. They still had to fight, but at least they wouldn’t die by falling.}

     Nope, that’s not what he meant at all. When Yuki had pointed out the weapon, it hadn’t been with any kind of enthusiasm. Most weapons didn’t frighten him, but it was still best to be wary.     ‘It looks... sharp...’
