I guess Game Freak invited people to try out their new game, Beast of Reincarnation, recently. And unfortunately (for me) it does sound like it’s a Souls-like game.

I’ll still give it the ol’ college try, but i don’t have high hopes of it clicking for me, since i don’t enjoy Souls-like gameplay.

There is a “story mode” option, so at least there’s something to fall back on if i’m not having fun.

Im gonna use my captive tumblr audience today to force you to look at the game I've been yelling at people on Discord about.

I've been playing Stonemachia for about 17 hours now and I want to say it's one of the most visually unique and original games I've played in a very long time and I still have trouble believing it was made by a dev team of less than 10 people (and no, they didn't use one spec of generative ai).

If you like souls-likes, spectacle fighters, or are just a big fan of Chess and Italian architecture, please check it out. I want more people to yell at about it.
