Soulslayer. Episode 1: The Wedding Eve.

Soulslayer is a murder mystery game, set in ancient China. You are the oldest daughter of a Chinese noble, you are getting married tomorrow and this morning you were killed.

But you were brought back to life by an unknown force which gives you three chances to solve your own murder. Who wants you dead so bad they're trying to kill you over and over again?

Your maid? Your half sister? Your stepmother? Your father? Your fiance? Or someone totally unknown to you?

You have to gather clues, make logical deductions, and try to stay alive for so long that you could uncover whole truth.

This is a relatively short game with several bad endings and one true ending, but to find out motives and true intentions of all characters you have to play through all endings. Some of them were harder to reach then the true ending (remember, somethimes you have to do wrong choices in the right order). This was planned as a first episode in series, but the story itself is finished. Which is a good thing, because it seems there won't be other episodes. And that's a shame, because I would like more games from this developer in this setting.

I have to mention graphics - it was absolutely stunning, stylized as Chinese art. The characters are also strong and likeable, as far as short game length allows to learn about them.

Yes! Ha ha ha! YES! The epic saga of #gotrekgurnisson from @dariushinks and @black_library_official comes to a close in #soulslayer! I’m so excited to read it! Gotrek is one of the most interesting characters in the Warhammer universe to me and I’m looking forward to reading all about his latest weird adventure! I hope he has many more in the future! In fact, soon, he will! A forthcoming novel called Brightslayer is in the works! Coming soon to a bookstore near you! In the meantime, what are you waiting for, you zaki wazzock? No longer a WIP because I finished!!

kinda sucks because all mobile users and computer users will be able to see are like. half the faces of Lunatics!Sprite and Assassin!Sprite but at least you can see it in full here :)

Played Soulslayer and really liked it! It’s more a mystery game than an otome game, where the daughter of an official dies on the eve of her wedding and gets three chances to relive that day and figure out who killed her and how to save herself. A short game with plenty of “holy shit” moments and a very good FMC (voiced by Shao Jiang’s VA!) who has to be resilient, willful, and cunning if she wants to survive.

Another tenuous connection in that the game is named after one of Goujian’s legendary swords, which makes an appearance in the game.
