I really wanted to draw one of my characters in my costume for The Little Mermaid, and Strissa, being a performer already, felt the most appropriate. It's a bit late (ok a lot late) because I forgot to post it whoops

Strissa and rykra interacting
H m m now here's an interesting one I actually hadn't thought of
After the initial shock of "wait, you're a Sound Mage? Those actually exist??" They actually get along pretty well!
Rykra is adventurous to the point where she throws herself into situations without much thought, and while Strissa puts a bit more thought into her shenanigans she isn't much better, so they get into lots of trouble oops
Rykra has lots of questions about Sound Mages and Sound Magic in general
Strissa is intrigued to find out that Rykra's voice color doesn't match her hair, as is always the case with a Sound Mage's natural hair color
Lots of experiments with sound in water
They accidentally discover Sonar
*boom* "WOW COOL"
Tach Ashwood (Shards)
Most of my remaining Shards characters were created around the hub formed by the nightclub Rosoe owns. Tach ("Tack") Ashwood was the first, created some time in late 1997. A dirty, grubby young man of indeterminate age, he was the club's bartender despite appearing quite possibly underage. Also a werewolf, he was part of Rosoe's pack.
There are two important things to know about Tach: he was mute, and he hated elves.
Tach was not born mute and could hear quite fine. He sacrificed his voice at some point in order to be an auditory mage; his control over sound was so exceptional that he served as the club's DJ while simultaneously filling drink orders at the bar. Often, the song would change at some opportune moment for him to use the lyrics as commentary on some situation in the bar. He carried a small chalkboard around with him for times when it was absolutely necessary to communicate his thoughts that way, but when playing him, I tried to minimize his use of that crutch.
This especially became a problem when he spotted a pointy-eared elf in the bar. Tach loathed elves. In fact, his hatred was so severe and murderous that he descended into a mindless, frothing rage at the sight and would leap to attack without provocation. As a pup, his pack ran afoul of wood elves and the majority of them were slaughtered; he was taken in by Rosoe and raised as her little brother.
it's a slow music period, since i've just updated the program after constant crashes. since each version demands its own folder tree, moving things into my FLS11 folders and taking the time to reorganize a couple things.
in the meantime, this jazzy practice is a thing that may or may not have happened. the first and second plays have slightly different walking basslines,
