How did Bumblebee and Soundwave having Rubble happened?

I like to think that when Cybertronians get conjunxed, they paint a part of each other with their paint. This is what I imagine Soundwave and Bumblebee would look like (Soundwave has the star symbol on his arm too, it’s just on the other side)

I’ve been thinking of cross continuity shipping. And I just don’t think it works that well with Soundbee. Specifically bc I can’t see the Bumblebees falling for any Soundwave but their own. I can see Soundwave falling for other Bumblebees, but maybe that’s just bc I think Bumblebee is is the same in most continuities
