Soundtracked 24: Factory 2012
Back at Soundtracked 20 our friend Cassy won our Halloween costume contest and earned the right to curate the first Soundtracked event of 2012. As we discussed things with her she had come up with the idea of a '60s theme with costumes and decorations. As we got closer to the date it wound up getting pared down to a specific Andy Warhol-themed event. Cassy made a poster and hung some of her art up around the café and another costume contest was decided upon. As we talked more about the event we realized she had a lot of great ideas. By the time the show rolled around she had become the 18th member of Broken Arts.

Throughout the month of December we had run our second annual installment of the Broken Arts Music Awards where anyone who chose to could go to our online survey and vote for the best in local music in that year in categories like Album Of The Year and Venue Of The Year. To celebrate the increased amount of votes cast in the second BAMA Erin created a physical trophy for the Artist Of The Year winners Watershed Hour, who came out to accept and give a thank you speech. Cassy asked Viva Mars and The Cane Toads to play and we of course insisted that she perform as well. Brock Mundy won first place in the costume contest for his Andy Warhol costume and took home a Broken Arts prize pack. Caitlin Currie of The Cane Toads won second for her Audrey Hepburn costume and earned the right to curate a future Soundtracked show of her own and Laura Klinduch of Watershed Hour won free admission to future Broken Arts events for her Campbell's soup can shirt.
50 people paid at the door and we set a new attendance record, finally surpassing volumes 1, 2, and 3. It was the perfect start to a new year. We had bands and fans and a really supportive venue and a team of six people determined to raise awareness of the importance of all-ages culture. We were also one month away from our landmark 25th Soundtracked show, which would wind up being headlined by the biggest name to grace a Broken Arts stage yet.
