an old idea for the minmax au I had
i think it would be funny if ludovica just. treated him like a normal person and not a highly respected cardinal, and Machete wouldn’t really know how to react bc no one’s done that in ages (minus vasco)

#oh this is so good#and very true to her character!#Ludovica can be kind of blunt and irreverent even if she means well#she only performs the mandatory level of propriety if she can get away with it and doesn't put a lot of faith in authority figures#she can get kind of prickly and stubborn sometimes#and this subtly unnerves Machete who is all about hierarchy and structure and detached reserved politeness#he's intimidated by Ludovica. at least at first. she's very hard for him to read and he doesn't have a script for what she's doing#he hasn't seen his mother since he was like four#so if Ludovica went full on mom friend on him from the get go it'd be a shock on his system for sure#and Ludo probably wouldn't be too impressed about him initially if we're being honest#his tight-lipped aloof properness doesn't do him very many favors in casual and friendly settings#he comes across as some flavor of unapproachable boring weird or intimidating more often than not#Vasco finally brings his frequently mentioned highschool sweetheart to meet her and it's this icy and tense clergyman#but I have faith they would eventually find common ground and join forces. they have Vasco to act as an interpreter after all#anyway I love Ludovica's nonchalance and gall here. she's on top of this situation#thank you so much!#gift art#teakettlecorn#Ludovica#Machete#own characters#minmax au#Vaschete scenarios#give him some warm soup#soup please
