@recoiloperated folks out here speaking truths
Me when it’s summertime in Texas:
Snow and cold are the only things I long for in this eternally burning landscape around me. Sweet gentle flakes where are you? Why must our region be cursed to have no relief from this ever present stifling humidity and heat???
Me when it’s finally under 70 degrees F in Texas:
I will not survive this harsh winter landscape.
I like how it was sunny and nice a couple hours ago and now I'm in a library basement with a bunch of kids waiting for an all clear in case there's a tornado.
The south is just...fucked up, dude. Never woulda happened in Cali. 😆
the Southern enby experience that is being called 'Sir' and then 'Ma'am' and then 'Sir' again by the same person within 30 seconds
Having Southern Hospitality means being Pro-POC, Pro-immigrant, and fighting White Supremacy
If you think only white folks are Southern you are sorely mistaken. Given that my focus here is to celebrate Southern magic and Southern witchcraft it’s important to remind y'all that the South is black, asian, Latinx, and indigenous. There was a time when poor whites would fight side by side with poor folks of color against classism and racism and that time needs to come back around. So as I’m fond of saying: If you came here thinking you’ll find some kind of white bread confederate flag witchcraft you can fuck all the way off.
If you know, you know.
tbh the thought that there are people who don’t use “y’all” in their daily vocabulary is very unsettling
