Enjoy the delightful combination of creamy cheesecake, fresh strawberries, and angel food cake in this Southern-style strawberry cheesecake trifle. A perfect dessert for any occasion!
Ingredients: 1 package 8 ounces cream cheese, softened. 1 cup powdered sugar. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 2 cups heavy whipping cream. 1 store-bought angel food cake, cut into cubes. 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced. 1/2 cup strawberry jam. 1/4 cup water. 1 tablespoon lemon juice. 1 cup graham cracker crumbs.
Instructions: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continue to beat until well combined. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until smooth and fluffy. In a small saucepan, heat strawberry jam, water, and lemon juice over medium heat until well combined and smooth. Allow it to cool. In serving glasses or a trifle dish, layer angel food cake cubes, sliced strawberries, and cream cheese mixture. Drizzle the strawberry jam mixture over each layer. Repeat the layers until the glasses or trifle dish is filled, finishing with a layer of the cream cheese mixture on top. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs on the top layer for added texture. Chill the trifle in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving. Garnish with additional sliced strawberries before serving, if desired.
