I made a Trifle? For my mom's birthday, I had no idea what I was doing the entire time but I'd say for my first time ever making it it turned out well (yes I know using jam is wrong, she likes jam not jelly((jello)) )
Enjoy layers of rich chocolate brownies, creamy chocolate pudding, minty crme de menthe, and fluffy whipped cream in this decadent Chocolate Fudge Grasshopper Trifle. This is a delicious dessert that you should make for special occasions or anytime you want something sweet to eat.
Ingredients: 1 box of chocolate fudge brownie mix. 1 cup of cold milk. 1 package 3.9 oz of instant chocolate pudding mix. 2 cups of heavy cream. 1/2 cup of powdered sugar. 1 teaspoon of peppermint extract. 1/2 cup of chocolate chips. 1/2 cup of crushed chocolate cookies. 1/4 cup of green crme de menthe liqueur. 1/4 cup of chocolate syrup. Fresh mint leaves for garnish.
Instructions: Prepare the chocolate fudge brownie mix according to the package instructions. Once baked and cooled, cut the brownies into small cubes. In a bowl, whisk together the cold milk and instant chocolate pudding mix until it thickens. Set aside. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until it starts to thicken. Add powdered sugar and peppermint extract, then continue to whip until stiff peaks form. In a trifle dish or glass serving bowl, begin assembling the trifle. Start with a layer of chocolate brownie cubes. Drizzle a bit of crme de menthe liqueur over the brownie layer. Spread a layer of the chocolate pudding mixture over the brownies. Add a layer of chocolate chips and crushed chocolate cookies on top of the pudding. Repeat the layers until you run out of ingredients, finishing with a layer of whipped cream on top. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the whipped cream and garnish with fresh mint leaves. Chill the trifle in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving. Serve and enjoy your Chocolate Fudge Grasshopper Trifle!
