Is it true that asexual men are few and far between and that only 1% of the population is asexual means that there are very few asexuals? I know that the percentage wwnt up to 4%, but I don't know how many people that would be (I'm bad at math).
“Is it true that asexual men are few and far between“
Not really. It is true that asexual men are less likely to show up in places where most people take these surveys and that because toxic masculinity is tied to male sexual performance they might have less of a social chance to accept themselves as asexual. Statically aces are largely women (trans and cis) and non-binary (trans obv lol), and followed by guys (trans and cis).
They have been several studies now that suggest 4%, and that it’s one of the fasting groups. Since the 1% wasn’t taken that long ago (2004) a 3% increase in 15 years is a testament to how much aces are trying to educate and largely protect other aces from the shit they lived through.
There is about 7.7 billion people alive in 2018 and 4% of them would be 308 million aces in the world!! :D
