Gryffindor: No, they're not. Don't be so paranoid, Slytherin.

if you would like to help, check out this publicly sourced document that is collating and constantly updating mutual aid fundraisers. please please amplify and donate to even any one of these causes!! especially people outside of india: your money matters! as of 24th april, 2021, 1 USD = 75 Indian rupees, 1 euro = 90 INR so your money is extremely valuable and it will save lives!
Slytherin, watching Hufflepuff: they could murder me :) and I'd thank them :)
Ravenclaw, hearing this for the 34th time, banging their head against a table: I'd thank them too
unmarked grave
Hufflepuff: I've seen Slytherin's dick, like. A million times
Ravenclaw: You have? Why haven't I seen it?
Hufflepuff: Why do you WANT to see it?
Ravenclaw: He's my best friend! What if Slytherin gets into an accident? What if he's horribly disfigured and I have to identify him and all that remains are his private parts?
Hufflepuff:
Slytherin:
Ravenclaw: And I'm standing there, and I'm saying, "No, officer, I can't help you, because no, I haven't seen his dick." And then BOOM! He's buried in an unmarked grave
Slytherin:
Ravenclaw: it looks like you have a calcaneonavicular fracture in your foot
Gryffindor: what’s that?
Ravenclaw: it’s like a hand you can walk on
The most Ravenclaw thing I did: Never spent time before books but managed to get top grades only by listening to the lecture, I spent the time to google about most random things and learn about them instead
i feel like a lot of people really underappreciate the art that is time management. you have to work smarter, not harder. if all you need to succeed is the lecture, then forget everything else.
and yes, absolutely. wikipedia rabbit holes for the win
One of the most ravenclaw things I've ever done is write a 5 page essay on the benefits of medical marijuana. We were allowed to choose our own 'controversial healthcare topic' to do an essay on, the limit was 1 page. Now if anyone refers to weed in general as a bad thing I correct the crap out of them with my extensive knowledge of the drug
that is amazing, well done!! what an applicable topic to have a strong knowledge base on. it always blows my mind when people talk about going over the page limit because I almost certainly would have been penalized for it. In fact, I have been penalized for it in the past.
but, it’s good that you’re correcting the misinformation out there, and that you’ve done your research. the world is a fucking cesspool
The most Ravenclaw ish I've done is do homework for people online... not because they asked me to, because I asked if they had math homework... i like math
oh. wow. this is a first, even for me. it seems vaguely illegal, but I hope you at least got paid for it! the best thing in life is being paid to do something you love :)
what’s your favorite math?
the most ravenclaw thing I've done is watch AND read the entire harry potter series for a quiz that just handed out certificates to the winners (as well as the runner ups).
that is.
very extra.
goddamn. i am impressed. i also would not have done it.
incredibly hard working. almost a little.... dare I say.... hufflepuff?
Are you still doing the Ravenclaw thing? I just wanted to say the most Ravenclaw thing I’ve done is to read the stories in my school books during summer vaca. And when school starts I would be the know-it-all. But after 6th grade, I stopped doing it as I stopped paying attention in classes as I already knew EVERYTHING. Another thing I do is doing classes that interest me and leaving the others till the day before tests.
that’s really interesting!! none of my school books had any interesting stories in them, so i suppose you’re lucky, in that regard. also, mood for that 6th grade thing. after a point, things start seeming really simple.
don’t worry, though, they’ll get harder eventually :) advanced classes in high school and college tend to challenge even the most experienced of academics
One of the most ravenclaw things I’ve ever done was teach myself how to say sh*t in 15 different languages, including sign language and Morse code
And sometimes when I was done with an in class essay or assessment early I would write down this list of swears on the back of my paper
Was always curious about whether any of my teachers ever tried to translate them
oh i love that! i’ve done the same, sort of. every time I learn a new language I have to look up the swear words. i speak spanish, sort of, and there’s a sticky notes of swear words that have been up there on my bulletin board for literal years.
admittedly, I’ve never written them down on the back of any tests, mostly because my teachers and professors are definitely the type to look them up just to see what they mean. but good on you, very ballsy
The most Ravenclaw thing I have ever done was submit three five page essays for optional extra credit at the end of the semester that only had a one page maximum and I already had 100% in the class. Second is being known by name/site by all the librarians and most of the patrons at the library for borrowing stacks of books taller than me that required two trips or two people to take to my car. This started in 5th grade (elementary school) and only stopped after I moved away after graduating high school.
well done!! not going to lie, my teachers and professors are the type to take off points for going over the page limit, but valiant effort! and that’s amazing!! never had the time to go to the library after middle school and so I usually tended towards ebooks that I had to root through the troughs of the internet for, but that sound very hermione of you
I don’t know if you’re still continuing this but: The most Ravenclaw thing I’ve done is search up the summary of a book and researched the characters because I didn’t read the book in English class.
Oh gosh, I use to do this ALL the time. Still would, to be honest, except none of my classes have reading like that anymore
Hiyya
I was sorted into Ravenclaw in almost all the tests I've taken on internet and even a lot more times Pottermore, but I don't feel like a Ravenclaw. I mean you have to be pretty smart for it right? And also tha Ravenclaw dorms have an enchanted door that'd allow you in only when you answer it's question and the thing is I don't think I'm that smart enough, cause I'd be standing there for minutes trying to figure out the answers. But I've been told by my friends and acquaintances that I'm smart and I feel I'm a bit of a nerd too but I like to learn about a lotta things which are intriguing enough to pique my interest, like literally from ants to space. So please help me out here. And I really like the mysterious nature of Slytherin and I'm as righteous as a Gryffindor and as hardworking as a Hufflepuff. It might sound trivial but this is triggering me into an identity crisis.🥺
hey!!
okay, well first of all-- ravenclaws are characterized by enjoying learning! which isn’t necessarily the same as being smart! you don’t have to be good at something to enjoy doing it.
second-- there are lots of different kinds of intelligence. academic intelligence isn’t the only kind of smarts out there. street smarts, emotional intelligence, all of these are things that matter just as much.
third-- it’s canon that the questions the knocker asks can have more than one answer. it’s not necessarily about deducing the RIGHT answer, but rather coming up with An answer that works. you can argue your solution, and if the knocker accepts your logic, it’ll have to let you in. so, it’s not necessarily a scramble to find the correct solution just so that it’ll let you into the common room, but rather, an attempt to logically arrive at some kind of correct answer that you’re willing to hedge your bets on.
it’s really just about if you like to learn or not. if you spend your free time picking up stray bits of knowledge or trivia just for fun, etc. that’s really all. and it sounds like you do, so I think it’s safe to say you’re a ravenclaw, and apparently, I am something of an authority on it so :) hope this helps with the identity crisis
The most ravenclaw thing I’ve ever done is write an essay at 3am about gold fish, the crackers.
I would like to ask for the context to this but also. I am worried
