“How could you not know that it would kill him?!”

“Ushishi ~ Alright you caught me: I knew it would kill him,” Belphegor said bemusedly, grin stretching across his otherwise hidden face. He watched the dark haired male from beneath his thick bangs, sizing him up. There happened to be quite a few interesting types on the island, some even worth his respect, and the prince wanted to discern whether or not this male was one of them.
Throwing his hands behind his head, Belphegor was seemingly oblivious to the clearly dead body laying off to the side, having been caught just leaving the scene of a crime. What the other didn’t know, however, was that Belphegor hadn’t actually killed this target -- he’d simply stumbled upon the corpse, just the same. However he had no problem taking the credit, his proud stance nearly faultless in his game of pretend.
“Now now, can’t have a witness running around, can we~? You’ll play with me, won’t you?” Belphegor said quietly, his tone light and airy, as if he were a little kid asking to play something as mundane as ‘house’, instead of whatever game involved him drawing a few knives from his jacket, silver poking out from between his slender fingers.
