Erm your art is so good and I love your storytelling… a little unrelated but I wanted to ask if you have any advice on how you maintain the rendering of your work when you upload it?

well that's very kind of you to say, thank you for enjoying the stories! i've been a little deflated recently so it means a lot 🖤

hmm... well i'm not too sure, but if it helps at all i tend to work at 300dpi (A4 size at minimum) because i am a super duper messmaker and i like to work at around 25-50% zoom and clean up at 100%. when i resize, i run the piece through a sharpen filter at ~30-50% strength. i save as 800px png for my own website, and high quality ~1500px jpeg for everywhere else. but each app has its sweet spot as far as sizing, and some have settings that need to be toggled for HQ/4k uploads. in-app photo editors always ruin my image quality, every social media platform (except for tumblr?) compresses pngs into jpegs so you may as well save yourself a step, red compresses especially poorly in jpeg format (you won't see that stopping me though)

and... with instagram it seems entirely random whether or not something comes out looking like straight up Dogged Shit 🚬😮‍💨
