For the first OC Roundup, I figured it was high time I did a complete post on what console-tan designs I was responsible for!  When I made XBone-tan in the /co/ doodlechat back in 2013, I never figured it’d become as popular as it did (I mean the only place I ever posted the doodles was here, and back then I probably had something like 25 followers).  It’s sort of crazy how the whole thing took on a life of it’s own.  My intention was merely to play off the old Windows ME-tan comics from 2chan that were popular back in the day, focusing on giving the characters a good deal of personality based off the flaws or quirks in their products.  Here are the relevant tags for the -tans I created, listing them off from left to right in this picture:

Admittedly, there’s other takes by other artists in those tags (after all, there’s no possible way for me to say my -tan design is the “official” one for the system, and many people come up with really excellent designs for the systems too), but that’s why I decided to include the above picture as a reference for which designs were mine under each of those tags.  Hope it helps!

This is the last console-tan picture commissioned by ThirteenFunBreaker, featuring a family photo of the previous Game Boy-tan designed over the course of this commission.  Micro-tan is here via photo, as she "died" due to poor sales in North America (Many stores flat-out ignoring it, and the DS was already being marketed).

Here's the final three Game Boy-tans that were commissioned by ThirteenFunBreaker!  Here are the descriptions provided by him:

"Advance-Tan: A niece to the main family, Advance-Tan is the older of the twins, and holds a grudge for almost being the shortest of her three siblings. Always full of energy and a love for adventures, almost nothing stops her from doing what she wants. Except for the dark; Advance-Tan has horrible night-vision."

"SP-Tan: Younger twin of the Advance Pair, SP-Tan is something of a cowardly lion of the group, carrying a flashlight out of habit "just in case". Being the tallest of the family, she's always nervous about hurting her shoulder further. She's also sensitive to her sibling's irritation at their hegith difference, so she uses the box she carries around to crouch down and not offend Advance-Tan."

"Despite the flashflight and the box acting as security blankets, SP-Tan has trouble going to sleep sometimes, being more afraid of the dark than Advance-Tan or DS-Tan. SP-Tan has on a few occasions fallen asleep with her flashlight on, waking up in a panic when the batteries run out."
