Adult aliens are tasked to teach to human kids and they all ask “why 

Prog - do you have any questions? 

Child - Why?

Prog - because I asked 

Child - Why?

Prog - do you have a question or what?

Another “humans are weird” concept. Dreams. Hat if other aliens don’t dream and have no idea what it is. So we come skipping downstairs in the morning and say something like “hey Or’thn, I had the weirdest dream about you! You were pole-dancing with Michelle Obama!” and they’re all like, “what is this ‘dreaming’ you’re talking about? I would NEVER! Oh dear, did I actually do that? Is a dream another word for memory? I must have been drugged!”

Cuisine

Ok so you guys know how we use anything and everything in food? so I can imagine that aliens are somewhat minimalistic on food so they mix their simple ration packs every mealtime. 

Now throw in humans who bring livestock and even miniature gardens in their ships which would probably be larger as the years go by, Aliens who join their merry crew are treated to a wide array of cuisine, and even astounded by the sheer amount of creativity by mixing certain foods from planets into wonderful dishes that tickle their pallete,etc. 

Suddenly human cooks are a loved staple in crews usually numbering 20 for large and 1-6 in smaller ships.
