Space Birds Space Ghost
I only read the first three books of the Vampire Chronicles (and that was a very long time ago) and I don't really know what's happening to everyone's favorite Brat Prince. So when you say space birds you mean...what exactly?
Whoooo. So the Big Revelation of PLatRoA is that Amel, the spirit who went into Queen Akasha and turned her into a blood-drinking creature, thus creating vampires, is a ghost of a genetically engineered life-form sent to Earth to destroy the mammals and their squishy icky feelings. Amel rebells against his creators (aliens), and founds Atlantis. His creators engineer similar life-forms (Replimoids), and send them to Earth to destroy Amel, Atlantis, and the mammals.
The creator aliens are described by the Replimoids as having bright black eyes. And wings. And feathers. And beaks. The creator aliens are space birds. (The book never refers to them as that, but with those descriptors, what else can they be?)
SPAAAAAAAAACE BIIIIIIIIIRDS.
You vs. the girl he tells you not to worry about.
And now my space babies. Mah space birbs ;_; I love them with all my heart but drawing them at and angle is so HARD if anyone has tips, please send them on over because I would highly appreciate it
ANYWAY Ignore the see-through paper for the first sketch page, I scanned these all from my sketch book and I didn’t want to edit them The second one is a sort of study/see-how-well-I-can-draw-turians sort of thing
Eight superb owls
1. Flaperon Ferdinand was the first owl in space, a fact that she proved by bringing a small jar full of space back for the earthbound owl community to marvel at. Whilst the details of how she achieved this feat are scanty, one theory holds that she hitched a ride on Korabl-Sputnik 2 with Soviet space dog Strelka by pretending to be a particularly feathery tuft of belly hair. These days she hosts a travelling museum of small pebbles that look like the Earth, for the edification of curious owlets.
2. Hoots McFlummery, a Snowy Owl from Anchorage who is both metaphorically and ceremonially a legal eagle, having recieved the honour from the local bald eagle community after successfully defending them in a particularly pointed lawsuit against a group of anthropomorphic bears. Hoots is known for the clarity and succinctness of his arguments, and for regurgitating pellets in court.
3. Agent O is believed to have been the longest owl in history, in one instance managing to have one feather in South Carolina whilst dipping another in the Limpopo River. There are many who have been touched by her feathery appendages without realising it. She is also believed to be the original engineer of the owl elongation virus during her previous work as a scientist with the wizarding owl liberation front.
4. Charles Q. Fishface is a long-whiskered owlet with amazing ball skills. In 1987 he partnered with a ball with amazing owl skills, creating a blistering skills nova that ensnared any and all spectators in a hyperbolic awe-trance. After retirement, he put in an application to be a supplementary moon to the Earth, eventually becoming the second owl in space and causing telescope malfunctions across the globe.
5. Plumage Jones is the owl world's premier drag performer. Interestingly, drag shows are widespread across the bird world due to the diversity of coloration between male and female birds. She contracts with a variety of parrots, lovebirds and peacocks to construct her costumes, some of which contain live mice. One particularly fabulous performance, in 2009, involved three billion rubber ducks and required an unprecedented array of time loops just for production and disposal purposes.
6. Freda Bollocks is a scops owl who is perhaps best known for stealing vans. She maintains an energetic cadre of underlings to operate the pedals, preferring to stay on steering wheel duty herself. They say she is building something out of vans in the Australian desert, and that all owlkind will know of it when its day comes.
7. J. J. Jenkins is the loudest owl in history. We know this for a fact, because her screech is so loud that it penetrates equally through time and space. J. J. J.'s calls have long echoed through history, seeking a louder owl with which to duet. No answers have ever been recieved. More than a thousand reports of past hauntings are actually believed to be J. J. J.'s fault.
8. Blackcrop Jack is an ex-pirate owl who gained a reputation in later life for stealing shoulders. Many a pirate has been forced to retire after unsuspectingly nodding off with Blackcrop on their shoulder. Having been rehabilitated into a sweet and gentle soul post-piracy by the intervention of an irreligious order, Blackcrop is always careful to replace the shoulders with something nice, like a kitten.

What do space birds even eat?
Stardust? Small planets? The occasional unfortunate traveler?
Pretty sure the big ones go for planets. A hummingbird would be terrifying with that stabby beak, there’s not a lot you can do to fend it off lol. There’s probably a planet out there that they’ve colonized and a bunch of different space birds live there, so who knows really what they eat.
