Bitten S3Ep3 - "Right Behind You" And the Sheriff is back. Sheriff Karen Morgan is back in the game, and is stomping around where she is not wanted, and that’s getting her nose in pack buisness. Of course she doesn’t know it’s pack buisness, let alone know that Jeremy and his family are werewolves. We start with her spotting Jeremy leaving the hardware store and offering him advice. Saying that the community shelter has a bunch of young kids who would be willing the volunteer their time to help Jeremy fix up his yard. But of course Jeremy has to refuse, because the equiptment he bought, is not for fixing the yard, but for disposing of dead bodies. Of all the ships played out on this show, Jeremy and Karen do not work. I find the ‘chemistry’ between them is awkward, and just plain. Next to them would the pairing of Nick and Paige in season two. That was a train wreck in my eyes. I hope this ‘relationship’ between Jeremy and Karen doesn’t go any further another then the occasionally run ins. But I feel Karen will be playing a bigger roll in this season. Starting with her awkward flirtatious conversation with Jeremy, but also with her interupting a confrontation between a local and Constantine, a member of the Russian pack. Will that be the last we see of her? Or will she start to delve more into the pack buisness and find herself in a similar position we’ve seen other humans in. Their are three humans who have found out about the existence of werewolves, and it did not end well for one of them. Unfortunately, Elena’s Ex lost his head. The other two, while living, aren’t living in ideal situations. Rachel is being kept in a house, almost like a hostage, with her newborn son, the werwolf son of Logan, who died in season two. Then there’s Katia, Elena newly found human half sister, born to their werewolf father Sasha. They have been on the run from the Russian pack since she was born. Now with Karen in the loop, what will her fate hold. Will she get caught up in the werewolf drama, and will she keep her nose out of their buisness? Which would probably be her safest option. Not only is there a possible new relationship forming, but there’s a blossoming and one that not as close as it should be. Elena and Clay are now looking at a house, also Clay and Jeremy aren’t as close as I would like them to be. Both are big dips from the books. Clay almost refuses, or makes it seem like he would be uncomfortable, even Elena too, to even think about leaving Stonehaven. They need Jeremy too much, and I don’t see this strong bond between them, especially Jeremy and Clay, in the show unfortunately. Hopfully as the season progresses we’ll see the relationship between these three characters build more. I was happy to see a slight developement in Clay’s behaviour to embody more of the book Clay. This happened when Katia and Alexei showed up at Stonehaven uninvited. This obviously caused a big problem for Jeremy, as the Russian Alpha, Roman is in town looking for Sasha and his family. Alexei, being close to the change, and is in the kitchen eating a sandwich and being closely watched by Clay. This is where we see the more aggressive, ‘cold’ side of Clay. He gives off the demeaner that he’s here, but he’d rather be somewhere else, and that’s what I want to see more of. So fingers crossed we get to see more of this side. Clay is supposed to be antisocial, and uncomfortable with the aspects of human life. It’s always said, that he is more wolf than man. After his little talk with Jeremy, Sasha is on a mission to kill Roman. But before that moment arises, he and Elena are attacked by a lone Russian wolf, who appears to be foaming at the mouth. The wolf charges at Elena only to be knifed down by Sasha. Sasha however did not make sure the wolf was dead, because it later jumped up and bite his arm, only to be finished off by Sasha. The foaming at the mouth could be a disease, like a form of rabies, and now that Sasha has been bitten, the disease will carry on to him. What does that mean, not only for him, but for the others? Is this a new threat their going to have to fight? Not only will the pack have to add a possibly life threatening disease onto their list of things to fight, but they just added more onto their plate by taking Constantine, Roman’s second in command, also later revealed to be Roman’s son, as a hostage. They are now refusing to hand over Sasha and his family to Roman. We learned that, it’s not the Russian pack that’s after Sasha, but it is Roman’s personal grudge against him. The way they kept bring up how personal it is, and bring Elena into the mix. It might be possible Elena’s real mother may be the reason why, so far, they’ve been careful not to mention who she is. Is it possible that her mother had a connection to the Russian Pack? Something connecting her to Roman, like a possible lover of Roamn’s? We’ve only reached epsiode three of this new season, and so much, but of little has happened. I’m curious to see what’s going to happend next, will Karen find herself in a sticky situation, or/and will a disease begin to rip through the pack?
