"There are many theories about the source of life in the universe, what keeps it all going. These Ǣtherians have a variety of their own folktales and ideologies trying to answer these questions; and of them all, I would say I find this idea of the Singularity most intriguing. It's not 'God' to them, not even close; more, a manifestation of the collective potential consciousness throughout reality. Some of its life-energy breaks apart and falls away, which is what creates life as we understand it, and when something dies that energy returns to the Singularity. There's a lot of debate within this idea on how that works and, fascinatingly, whether or not the Singularity itself is conscious life or merely a vassal for it. The ethics of mortality among a people that practically breathe majiq and, from our narrow Terran perspective, appear immortal, is such a fascinating topic I feel I could spend a hundred lifetimes studying it and still never fully understand these concepts in the way Ǣtherians do.
Regardless. We trek ever forward towards Olam Ber'iah, that enigmatic core of the planar system. If this Singularity is real, that is its home; and if we are successful in our venture, many questions may be answered."
