Today's song is Space Funk by Zonne featuring the Vocaloid Gumi
I’ve been lacking on Blacktober because my stupid ass job doesn’t think I should have free time so I made up for it by drawing four of my OC’s
You have Cosmo, Veridis, Aero and Miro
They’re part of my funky alien space thing I’ve been working on

Soul Jazz Records are releasing their new ‘Space Funk – Afro Futurist Electro Funk in Space 1976-84’, an intergalactic journey into black space, fuelled by funk, powered by computers.
‘Space Funk’ is a lovingly compiled collection of superb, rare and off-the-wall space funk and electro releases mostly released on small independent labels in the late 1970s and 1980s.
Reactors are reacting, boosters are boosting, pack your funk and shake your booty! Computer funk … makes you jump! This is the space funk program!
The album comes in deluxe artwork and three formats – digipack + slipcase CD, a very limited deluxe 2xLP + bonus 7” single + download vinyl version, and a standard 2xLP + download standard vinyl version.
Features music by Jamie Jupitor, Solaris, Robotron 4, Juju & the Space Rangers and many more intergalactic space warriors!
The shuttle program has been altered – there is no Star Wars only electro funk jam joyriders in Space – hold tight!
To be honest, we still can’t get enough of The Landing’s last single Lustre, which we so eagerly featured on the blog and on our last Spotify playlist. Lustre is such a sublimely plush and spacey groover. But we’ve already lost ourselves in The Landing’s brand new one. The astute New York musician casts a peppery bouncing new spell on us with his perfumed space pop on Keep Lookin’ Up, inebriating us with more of his soulful grooving, warped intoxicating sound. This velvety, slushy stroller fuses the slickness of Hot Chip with the psychedelic soul of Unknown Mortal Orchestra, all encapsulated in a lavish sprinkling of uptempo spice and a a piquant drizzle of Toro Y Moi. The idiosyncratic smoothness of Keep Lookin’ Up’s vocals and its distorted melodies also evoke a bit of Hundred Waters. The Landing explores human potential and the power of positivity with his the warm effervescence and bubbly optimism found on the song. Keep Lookin’ Up is The Landing’s second single off an upcoming EP entitled An Anthem For The Optimistic, which drops on March 15th. The new single can also be streamed via Spotify, here.
