I've been thinking about her lately and I'm in agony because HE LOVED HER SO MUCH!!! LOOK AT THEM
And after she died, FOR HIM, he was crashing out for DAYS, mourning her. Tearing himself apart because now he's lost the love of his life.
Gen was his only friend during this awful terrible time.
BUT AFTER THAT, what really ruffles my feathers, is that at the end of SENSO. IT SHOWS HE GOT WITH SPACE MARIKO. Happy for him and his new family. Congrats and all that.
But there's no way he doesn't wake up in the middle of the night and become utterly depressed because Tomoe isn't by his side. Of course he loves his wife and 2 kids, jotaro and akemi. But there's no way he forgot his first love, the woman who fought by his side and gave her life for him.
I'm not a Mariko hater. Pls just let an usagi and a Tomoe get together. I'm begging you. 84 usagi don't let me down
