How long had Charlie actually been watching Dave? For a while he thought. I mean, how long was someone supposed to watch someone else to get a good idea of their life and personality? Not long enough it seemed, but Charlie was basically at a roadblock at this point. Yes, he was a Guardian Angel and yes he had been assigned to someone who was a truck driver. That wasn’t the issue. What was the issue was just the idea of what Dave did. He seemed like a trucker, not faulting him for that, but he was always on the move and always seemed to be somewhere else. He couldn’t exactly ever catch him or appear in his truck, it would appear really weird to him he bet.
Can’t exactly blame someone for something like that.
He gave a heavy sigh as he formed himself down in the world and despised himself for this, slightly. He didn’t enjoy being on the road too much, but not a lot he could really do in the grand scheme of things, so this wouldn’t be too bad he guessed. He just walked along the parking lot, looking at all the different trucks and was trying to actually find Dave and his truck. It didn’t take long, so he just walked towards it and mustered some energy to hop up on the side steps of the cab and used his paw to scrape against the door to let him know he was there.
Hopefully, Dave would take Charlie in as a stray to go along on his adventure and Charlie would drop the beans on why he was there in the first place, being that he was there to protect and help him as a Guardian Angel. That was the idea and he just hoped this would work out in the end, because if not? He’d have to find some sort of backup plan and he really didn’t want to do that.
So, he gave another bark and scratched the door again to try and get Dave’s attention. While he didn’t enjoy the open road, he guessed it wouldn’t be too bad, right? Would actually get him out to explore the rest of the country and all, so that wasn’t too bad in the end.
He could only guess at where this adventure could possibly take him.
