out of curiosity why might you skip queue for a post? (definitely not emoji person honored but confused)
plenty of reasons!! a lot of it is because we particularly like a post, but a lot of it is also random and/or time-based. when it's getting close to post limit reset, we'll often just skip everything in our queue until we hit post limit, only for it to then reset. every so often while we're working through drafts, we'll skip a random post, just to get more posts processed in a day. lately when we do our activity page we try to queueskip a lot of it
but we also regularly posts that we like, or which are related to our interests. we get extremely self-indulgent with it, but finding small ways to be self-indulgent while we work is part of how we keep running the blog from becoming a chore. terms related to things like The Magnus Archives, or SCP, or songs which we know are more likely to get queueskipped. every single SCP term gets queueskipped actually, because we thought of the pun "scipping queue" one day and can never resist the chance to use it lol. terms that one of our fronters is or wants to save often get queueskipped, as do posts that we think would be useful to know of in the future
things like gender qualities, umbrella terms, identity systems, flag templates, terminology, referential language... all of this more abstract, overarching, and "meta" for lack of a better word, sort of thing usually gets queueskipped both because this sort of stuff is a major interest of ours, but also because we consider them resources; we figure having resources saved as soon as possible is, like... words have been hard for me all day lol. we figure it's useful, i suppose??
edit: also, any time we can make a pun or joke out of the skipping queue tag. we really enjoy doing it, it's fun
