Three of the five comments on my last fic posted to Ao3 were spam comments. 😭 Ao3 notifications used to happy things. Why is this happening? 😭

Anyway, I just got hit with a spam DM about cryptocurrency… Very obviously spam, but a heads up to block/report, and be careful. I’m not sure if taslybit10334 is the only url this is coming from, or if (heaven forbid) there’s going to be several inundating this way.
How come now that Tumblr Live is gone, my "for you" tab is full of sex workers when I have never, not one time, done anything but block this content? TUMBLR. I am a whump-loving aroace weirdo. I do not want to see these women shaking their asses.

I can’t even step away for a day without an influx of spicy spam bots following me. Each time I report and block them, but then it’s like a handful more come out of the woodworks. It’s genuinely feeling more like a chore to open tumblr, see my activity notifications, and know it’s not real interaction and just a bunch of spam.
This getting ridiculous. Please tell me you’re working on a way to deal with this

Idk how to make this to end. And if I have someone follow me, all notifications that I actually care about go away when I open tumblr it’s really annoying.
Oh no, the spam accounts who spam p•rn and/or other disgusting things into random tags are back. Thank goodness they aren’t posting pictures at the very least, but still. TIME TO GO ON ANOTHER BLOCKING SPREE!
This is just a warning
As I am typing this, there are fake accounts being set up on a load of social media platforms, I believe it is mainly Instagram, that is causing problems. These accounts are claiming to be helping people in Sudan, but in reality they aren't doing anything.
Most of the borders in Sudan are closed right now, so even if they wanted to help and maybe give them medical aid and food, it wouldn't be an option.
The awareness over the last few days about the situation has really inspired me and has helped me recognise that people aren't as ignorant as you may assume them to be.
So the advice I am giving you is to make sure the website is trusted you can do this by checking out their website and see if it is linked to a credible charity. I am sure there is a lot of other information that would be worth looking at if you are considered donated money to the cause.
Ugh I’m trying to look up new Kylo Ren gifs on tumblr but all I get is pages and pages of spam. I already have tumblr savior but the spam keeps getting through. Anybody know a way to filter them out (like tags to put in the filter that will erase them)
