Rumi catches Zoey working out a parody version of Takedown called ‘Takeout’, changing the harsh lyrics and hatefull tone into something silly about craving their favorite takeout foods. She tries to cover it up at first, rambling about how she hadn’t meant to show her, it was just a silly idea that got stuck in her head and maybe it would help Rumi with her trauma about the song but also she hadn’t wanted to remind her of that and she really should just burn this notebook-

Rumi laughs an reassures her its okay. Softly singing one of the lines to herself and suggesting a follow-up. Mira joins in when she realizes its just her girls singing about food, already halfway through summoning her gok-do.

They record it on a whim, having to cut out a lot of wheezes and laughs. But they are undecided for a while about weather to actually publish it. Something this dumb and silly doesn’t really fit the image of HUNTR/X they have build. They end up only releasing it on their youtube channel, not as an actual single with promotions and shows. More of a bonus for the loyal fans, among the vlogs and make-up tutorials. It ends up taking off anyway, accompanied by the usual barrage of requests to release the original Takedown, but they already released their statement about the song, and they aren’t going to take it back. It also spawns a whole trend of people making their own parodies of the song, centered around different words starting with ‘take’ and/or ending with ‘down’

As they hoped, the whole thing turns put to be quite therapeutic, and the opening notes of Takedown rarely if ever trigger a panick-response in Rumi anymore

so reading week happened and i taught myself how to knit????

Tadc fallout au

Ok it's not really an au based on the fallout games, more so inspired by it (mainly bc I have not finished playing new vegas) tho tbh I came up with the idea bc of 60 seconds. Basic idea is that a bunch of people were put into a digital fallout for reasons they can't recall, however only a handful remain as everyone else has gone insane and abstracted. No one new has entered the wasteland in years until one day when Pomni shows up with almost complete amnesia, just barely able to remember that this is a digital world and the real world (last she checked at least) is not a nuclear wasteland. With the AI admin Caine only giving her a welcome, a gun, and a word of advice before leaving to attend to some... duties, Pomni is left to wander the wasteland until she hopefully eventually meets someone to keep her sane.

Not my best doodles by a long shot and I definitely made pomni look a bit younger than I intended, but oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

When I showed this to my brother, his only suggestion was to dress Caine like the King from New Vegas.
