Day 4- secret relationship

He’s so particular with his coffee no one ever gets it right, many have tried until one lucky Spaniard somehow manages to strike the right balance. Could it be coincidence, or rather something more than fellow managers working with one another too often.

I really really like this ship! One loudmouthed cocksure character and an equally loud but emotionally constipated one? Hell yeah. (Funny how you could use those descriptions for either one.) I also love it when it’s combined with GerIta. I don’t know why but brothers dating brothers?? It just tickles my fancy… Still, I haven’t exactly read many fics yet of this ship, so I’ll just have to search your ao3 for them ;)

With the canon depiction of little Romano having a big ol’ crush on Belgium, how can I not like this ship?! Yet this ship is more ‘maybe’ then ‘ship it’ in my eyes because I actually prefer a more family-oriented relationship between these two. Romano was practically raised by Belgium (and Spain) when they ‘lived’ in Spain’s ‘house’. (I also headcanon Luxembourg being raised alongside him.) I believe, growing older, Romano started to see Belgium as a kind of mother-figure (and Spain as a father-figure). So the little crush grew into unconditional love between a child and their parent.

I’m sorry to say that this is a ship I don’t really like. I get the whole “there’s a fine line between love and hate” stuff that might indicate sexual tension, but as far as I see it, these two just don’t get along. Period. Especially historically speaking. Water and fire. But I do realise that that’s probably the thing that draws SpaNed shippers in, so I’m not saying I wouldn’t be intrigued to read smt for this ship. I just won’t go looking for it.
