girls night was long overdue. gen felt like she hadn't gone out in forever, which was probably an exaggeration, but still. she was glad that gianna was available to meet up. seated at the bar sipping on a cocktail while she waits, face lighting up when she spots her friend. "oh, thank god you're here. that creeper down the bar keeps trying to send me drinks. i've sent them back like, three times."

almost  all  of  his  students  had  been  picked  up  ,  but  one  miss  evelyn  henderson  still  lingered  by  mr.  gus'  side  ;  fairly  frequently  ,  evelyn  would  be  dismissed  with  her  friend  olivia  ,  but  today  seemed  to  be  an  exception.  it  was  in  that  moment  ,  gus  realized  he  likely  hadn't  met  the  girl's  actual  parent  yet.  he  didn't  think  that  entirely  odd  ;  he  heard  enough  to  feel  like  he  knew  plenty  already  ,  but  he  didn't  have  an  exact  face  to  the  young  girl's  stories.  it  wasn't  until  he  heard  an  excited  squeal  and  evelyn  took  off  in  a  sprint  that  gus  suddenly  realize  he  did  know  this  face  in  particular.  “  mr.  henderson  ,  i  assume  ?  ”
