i think i saw the post/s ur referring to, op is super shitty??? and their “apology” was so shitty too like iirc the first thing they said was along the lines of “don’t get mad at me tho uwu”

yEAH oh my god... like effectively the first paragraph was effectively “i was hurt by people with bpd so i decided to hurt people with bpd and i guess that was wrong?” and by the end of it the ‘apology’ was effecively ‘anyway people should love each other instead of getting rightfully angry when i fuck up lmao’

tbh elliot wanting to get rid of mr robot is rly #relatable lmao,,, the writing wrt DID does leave a little to be desired but it Is still one of the better representations i've seen, and it's so so nice to have elliot be a protag i can relate to and that a lot of people actually /like/ (and i love talking abt this show w u too!!!)

I know right like... I’ve never wanted to make my alters Vanish because I generally think they’re pretty cool people but I definitely want them to Not be sharing a body with me and all the stuff that’s like “tell me what happened and we can do what you want!” ‘I can’t tell you what happened!’ etc. is pretty relatable also

and yeah like. seeing posts that are like “i would die for elliot” and like, people being upset when he gets hurt makes me really really happy because usually when there’s a character with any of the #Brainstuff I have they’re disliked or ignored by at least a decent chunk of the fanbase. I also Love that Darlene is there and she knows that Something is up but doesn’t know exactly what and they just are cool like that and try to take care of each other because that’s pretty much how my relationship w/my brother is

so much theorizing or trying to figure out where esmail is going to go wrt elliot's DID is rly difficult tbh bc sometimes he surprises me and pulls really good #relatable stuff but then there's the whole angle of trying to "delete" mr robot jst bc he's an inconvenience, ntm the whole "mr. robot is elliot's Evil Alter Ego" angle the show rly seems to take at times

honestly what I end up having to do is think of it in-universe? Like, regardless of how The Show feels, just acknowledging that Elliot wants to delete Mr. Robot is fair because Robot’s a dick and a lot of hosts esp. ones who’ve only just realized what’s going on do wish they could delete alters. so watching 2.2 I just end up feeling like, “poor Elliot hasn’t figured out that Mr Robot is basically immortal yet and they just need to learn to live with each other”

as far as the show as a whole I basically think it’s not perfect but it’s much better than any other “representation” I’ve ever seen so. shrugs!
