Yknow what’s even worse? The Sparse Reef is literally tHE SAFEST PLACE IN THE GAME! There are no crash fish (like the shallows) or Sandsharks (grassy plateaus)! There’s nothing there! It’s the safest place!!! And yet!!!! I am full of fear every time I’m there!!!!! It wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t so dark I think.

i feel like i ghost wrote this bc THIS IS EXACTLY IT!! theres like. 1 thing that can hurt u in the entire sparse reef and its a spiky plant!! and theres like 2 of them in the entire reef!! its SO peaceful and safe and next to a lot of useful biomes!! it's a great place for a base!! it's like the best location in the game!! but the DARKNESS MAN....i can't deal w how dark it is!! even during the middle of the day its impossible to see anything!! at night its like ur in the dead zone!!! once i had to retrieve a seamoth 200m into the sparse reef w/o a rebreather yet,,,,i had to look away from the screen as i dove down bc the darkness that just goes ON AND ON...

Hot take but the sparce reef scares me more than the actual leviathans I will accidentally wander off into the dead zone but that is less terrifying than the sparce reef, especially when you can hear the distant leviathan roars, idk I think it's just the feeling of thinking smth is there (leviathans are usually found in flat open places) and not being able to see anything that is a threat, makes me feel like I'm missing smth

#EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE BIOMES BORDERING THE SPARSE REEF CONTAINS A LEVIATHAN. THE BLOOD KELP TRENCH DOESNT BUT IT HAS WARPERS SO #FUCK THAT PLACE ANYWAY TOO #sparse reef at night is a NIGHTMARE to me. imagine that in real life. IMAGINE NIGHTIME SPARSE REEF IN REAL LIFE. Nothing has gone wrong in the Crash Zone? Wow you have an angel lookin after you. Though I've noticed few people like the Sparse Reef? Hmmm. I think I know too much about the game to really be afraid anymore? Only thing that puts me on edge are Warpers... Mostly before I have the Reinforced Dive Suit. I just hate being yoinked out of my PRAWN... I expect it from my Seamoth though. That's actually why I usually just Seaglide around Warpers. And Crabsquids. Can't EMP my Seaglide.

i already knew about reapers b4 i started playing and was so paranoid i looked up a guide to safely get into the aurora :( im still too terrified to go near the crash zone half the time even in creative mode!! so the only reason nothing has gone wrong there is bc i only ever enter it once per playthrough and pause every 3 seconds to make sure im not near any reapers akjekfhsosjorwjdh,,, im coward

ive gotten p used to most of the creatures by now but YEAH WARPERS. im still on edge all the time so jumpscares get me so badly,,,and warpers are just Jumpscare The Fish!! 2 spooky 4 me :(

#one of reasons im scared of the sparse reef is bc warpers!!#ik they dont spawn there but they spawn in the grand reef. sea treaders path. AND the bloodkelp. and those ALL border the sparse reef!!#its near impossible to tell the difference between the sparse reef and sea treaders path at that border near the wrecks and keens pod!!#first encounter w a warper was at that big sea treaders wreck....thought i was still safe in the reef...... :(#last time i dealt w a warper it teamed up w two other warpers AND A CRABSQUID. IN THE DEEP GRAND REEF.#they nearly destroyed my seamoth and ryley was dehydrating to death....i died on my way back home #they attacked me for like 2 entire minutes 😔#ok i kinded ranted again it got a bit off topic sorry lads #but yeah idk if ill ever get used to warpers! the way they just. nab u out of ur vehicles and steal u OUTSIDE of them just. oof #i think its mostly the darkness in the sparse reef that gets 2 me...i still wont even go out into the safe shallows at night ajldkankebs #fear of the ocean AND fear of the dark....i dont get over fears i just store them in my heart until smth spooks me again 😔#sparse reef #crash zone #ask
