When I don't know what to do with my mlm ships I do with them what I do with my sapphic ships. *I make them toxic*
Happy October ...forgot to fix Gale's shoulder because the skin does this crap, oh well.
Panic Bites
This was a result of a conversation EternalConclave in which Astarion makes Gale a spawn in an effort to keep him from dying and the two trying to navigate their new relationship dynamics
Pairing: Gale X Astarion
Once Bitten
Gale groaned softly as he started coming too. Everything in his body felt sore and stiff. From his toes to his fingertips all the way up his head. He opened his eyes and promptly squeezed them shut the light far too bright and making his head swim as he tried to turn away from it.
“Gale? Gale, can you hear me?” The hands on his face are nice. Gentle even as they stroke his face. His cheeks. Carding gently through his hair, almost petting.
He missed them as soon as they disappeared before they’re back. A hand cradling the back of his head.
“Here, drink this for me.”
It’s water and it soothes his throat he hadn’t even realized felt like dry unpolished wood. He coughed and tasted something bitter and metallic in the back of his throat.
“Think you can open your eyes for me?”
“Too bright,” Gale rasped.
“S’alright, I’ve fixed it.”
Gale squeezed his eyes further shut before attempting to open them again. The room was slightly dimmer. They felt heavy like everything else in his body. It was hazy at first as he took in his surroundings, slowly things began to come into focus and everything was so much clearer.
Gale's gaze lingered on the standing mirror, frustration mounting at the stark absence of his reflection. He absentmindedly tugged at his sleeve, releasing a heavy sigh. Astarion always prided himself on how they looked; it wouldn't have done well if he had been unkempt, but it was difficult to be sure when he couldn't see himself.
"Resplendent." A voice purred from the doorway.
Gale's eyes flicked towards Astarion. A brief scoff escaped him before he faced the now redundant mirror again. "Hardly," he muttered under his breath.
Astarion strode into the room, uninvited yet unchallenged, and positioned himself behind Gale. Unlike himself, the mirror showed the Vampire Ascendant's reflection, and of course, Astarion looked as gorgeous as ever.
"Oh, my dear, but you are," Astarion whispered, arms encircling Gale's soft waist. "You belong to me, and everything that is mine holds beauty beyond compare." His lips brushed against Gale's jaw. "You are stunning."

One Rabbit Please
Chapter 2: One Rabbit Please
Summary: Astarion and Gale plan their next steps, but first Astarion teaches Gale how to hunt.
It was evident after a few days that they couldn’t stay holed up in the Inn for much longer. Staying wasn’t a bad thing, Astarion had no real desire to return to Baldur’s Gate after everything that happened, and Gale was adjusting to his new circumstances with more ease than Astarion had expected him to.
But, it was also clear the wizard was having trouble with their surroundings. Everything was different, nothing consistent. He was trying, maybe for both their sakes, but Astarion had swore he was going to be better at this than Cazador ever was.
May the dead bat rot in all the fires of the nine hells.
“I’ve made a decision.”
“Have you been thinking this whole time?”
Astarion blinked and glanced around. Ah, right. They’d come down to the main floor of the inn shortly after it was deemed an appropriate time for people to wake up and found a quiet table in the back.
Gale had been reading and picking absentmindedly at a plate of dried meat and bread. A half-drunk glass of wine to his left.
“Thought you might have slipped into a trance,” Gale added.
“No, no, I was thinking,” Astarion answered. “About what we should do next.”
“Next?” Gale asked.
“Well, we can’t live here,” Astarion told him. “I have no desire to for one thing and you aren’t comfortable.”
“I’m…comfortable enough,” Gale shrugged a little.
“Be honest Gale,” Astarion reached for the bottle of wine and refilled the wine glass the other man had been using.
“It’s hard to concentrate,” Gale replied. “If it’s not the sounds, then it’s the smells, and if it’s not the smells then it’s the lighting. I’ve been reading the same page for the last few hours and I’ve barely made any headway and...I didn’t mean to say all of that.”
“Oh, oh…” Astarion realized what he’d said. “Interesting, I didn’t mean for it to come off like a command.”
“Maybe it was the phrasing?” Gale ran a hand through his hair. “But…if we’re on the subject of places to go, I do have my tower in Waterdeep. It isn’t much, but there is plenty of room for both of us.”
“Waterdeep huh?” Astarion picked up the wine glass.
